  1. You didn't get what i was trying to say mate. I wasn't talking about the loss to the centre of midfield. I was talking about the loss of goals, and we don't know if our new signings will make up for the loss. I think we should keep Nolan for one more season, just incase things go badly. 1 or 2 injuries like last season and we could end up REALLY missing Nolan.

  2. You really expect that 6 million from him to be reinvested in the club?

  4. People have this "cash in now" idea about Nolan but they seem to forget that that money will most likely go straight to Ashleys pocket and will not go back into the club.

I still don't think that all 35 million will be put on new players. Another 6 million is nowt really lads. I'd rather keep Nolan for another season.

I'll agree with that, especially considering this past season's injury and suspension woes.

Every season we get crippled with this but we are Newcastle and if we do anything it has to be the hard way so we'll never learn.

Cash in on him IF we get a couple of good strikers. He has been great the past two years, but has been lazy a lot which has been noted already.

I'm 50/50 on Nolan as many have said before I can't see him getting into the starting line-up next year if we bring in the proposed talent we have been linked with. Also a fee for him would help us offer others better contracts and spend a bit more on transfers too. On the other hand as Tash has repeatedly mentioned he does get us goals; though I think buying two young out and out strikers and selling Nolan for a DECENT price would benefit us in the long term.

He is good in the dressing room so we're told, but as someone mentioned about Smith on another article, you don't want to be paying someone to motivate your players and then put them in the starting XI at the detriment of another younger/better player.

Nolan is fat as **** and his CM capabilities are ok for about 20 minutes untill he needs a rest.

Saying this he does score goals and as long as he's scoring goals he'l be a vital part of our team. Although his goals we're drying up in the second half of the season so his days as a vital member may be numbered.

I agree with tash that we shouldn't sell Nolan but I find his 'Nobody insults Nolan on my watch' approach to conversation hilarious.

What did most of us say when AC joined Liverpool about loyalty? Nolan's goals and leadership helped us get promoted and then helped us remain in the PL and now we are ready to just say "take the money". I understand football is turning into more of a business but IMO he is still doing a good job for us and even if he isnt playing every game atleast he wants to play for the club and may be willing to sit on the bench which is rare in this day and age.

He is a complete ****ing luxury, defensively he contributes very little and build up play offers even less. He tries hard but has minimal stamina which is why he is always blowing out his arse after 60 mins. Yes his goals and leadership would be missed but where would he play? I'd like to keep him as an impact sub but an offer of £6m for a sub who is approaching the end of his top flight career would be a fantastic offer.

If it weren't for Tiote theres no way Nolan could play in a 4-4-2. Usual hyperbole aside Tiote does all his running for him, allowing Nolan to get into positions to get goals and removing the need to chase back as another centre mid would. As stated, without his goals Nolan is an absolute passenger most games, and when Tiote was missing this was blatantly obvious.

Fact is his best position is off the striker, and if we are going to play like that next season then its likely that Ben Arfa will be playing there as his pace and creativity will help a striker (even if it is Shola), leaving Nolan out in the cold especially with Cabaye and hopefully a right winger coming in. If we can get £6m I'd bite Jols massive hand off.
