He will certainly never play again in this country. Ched Evans had his verdict overturned and it took ages for a club to touch him - fans were having protests to stop places signing him and he was legally innocent!!

Johnson did it, admitted to it. He'd be a great footballer at our level (and probably higher to be honest) but he would have no chance in this country. He'll end up abroad. My mate is a solicitor and said he said he'll be able to travel anywhere he wants as he has money. His lawyers will have made the deal to ensure this is the case as it's apparently an easy thing to do. He will just have certain conditions he has to adhere to.

Would he be able to play in a country where the age of consent is lower than the UK? Most of the ex soviet block countries have lower ages as well as several EEC countries..... doesn't deserve to in my opinion but he may have legal entitlement. If so could potentially play in european games but would he be banned in this country?... IDK

Some may find this a little controversial...

Not sure we can "ban" him in this country. He's on the Sex Offenders Register but that wouldn't stop him from playing football here (I'm not saying whether it should or shouldn't - personally I don't see him as a danger to children because of this indiscretion with a 15 year old girl. 15 year olds can look much older than 15 and are very attractive - it's not wrong to find a 15 year old attractive - it's wrong to act on it (which Johnson did) - he did it once and, after his experiences, I doubt very much that he would do it again.

I am speaking firmly from experience here as I met a 15 year old (in a nightclub) when I was 20 and we went out and did what young adults do - then I found out she was 15 a couple of weeks later and ended it - I got arrested 2 days later and cautioned for it as she told them I knew her age - I told them I didn't but they fell on her side with that - luckily this was a couple of years before the "automatically on the register for life" thing came in otherwise I'd be classed as a danger to underage people - when I am certainly not. I won't tar him with that brush - what he did was wrong - and I wouldn't want him near our club, but (and it's just an opinion) I don't think he'll be looking at getting into any 15 year old's pants any more

Depends on how you look at that - if you KNOW that they're 15 and still pursue then that's wrong - what if you don't ask their age and you look at them and assume they're older (which I did)

A 15 year old girl is not a "little girl" by any stretch - my son's 14 year old girlfriend is fully developed and, if I didn't know she was only 14, there's no way I'd place her at 14 if I bumped into her on the street. Very attractive and very grown up girl - I'd place her comfortably at 17 or 18 if I didn't know her - they don't look like little girls any more

agree with this, my granddaughter looked 18 when she was 13, tall, slim, made up to the eyeballs an d socially very advanced for her age. I thought this was unusual but it's a not, it seems to be the norm .

Once a nonce always a nonce. He knew her age and he acted on it.

I'm totally convinced that he would act on it again. He clearly likes young girls enough to cheat on his family with her. He's lucky that girls father wasn't stood at the prison gates with a rifle on his release. He deserves to die for what he done.

Guess only he will know but I reckon he won’t. He’s not a serial offender (loads would’ve stuck their head up if he was) which is why I don’t think he’ll re offend. Surely if he was gonna my to do it regularly he already would. Just an opinion mind.

The birds i had sex with as a 15 year old looked very different to those i had sex with as an 18 year old. Same again as a 21 year old. And so on.

What child, male or female is fully formed at 18? Both fill out and become more settled in their own skin way into their 20s.

15 year olds are definitely little girls. Most 18 year olds are little girls. A lot of girls in their early 20s are still little girls.

I find it baffling that any fully grown adult could consider a 15 year old attractive personally. Each to their own.

Totally disagree mate. I met a 15 year old in a nightclub. She got in the club using her sexuality. But if cleavage fir the bouncers. She looked older than my ex gf at the time who was 21. I found her extremely attractive. I didn’t know she was 15 (and walked away as soon as I found out) but I did find a 15 year old attractive. I didn’t have sex till I was 20. So only had sex with one 15 year old and paid the price with a caution and fine.

If you meet a 15 year old in a pub or club and assume she’s 18 are you wrong fir finding her attractive? Hell no. If you pursue that when you find out the age then it’s wrong.

For the record, the 15 year old I got done for asked me out on her 16th birthday! I said no!!
 
I don't understand the argument that it is somehow wrong to find a younger girl than you attractive. No matter what age you are a pretty girl is a pretty girl. You are just older not dead. The friends of my grandaughter when she was at school would make a lot of people blush. To say they are not developed is just not true. The only thing that Johnson did wrong was he knew how old she was, he knew it was illegal and wrong and yet simply ignored all that and allowed her infatuation with a famous person to be used to his advantage. Had he not known her age then it would have been a different kettle of fish altogether. If you are rich and famous then you will attract much younger women or girls than you. Trump, F1 Bernie Ecclestone that's two that come easily to mind. Bernie has a girlfriend who is 4 ft taller than him and 50 years younger. That's almost as bad as Johnson although that isn't illegal.

The only consideration for Johnson is that he knew exactly what he was doing and that he shouldn't. His arrogance got him convicted and he has only himself to blame. However, he has cash to spare so as previously said above somewhere, he will be just fine even if he doesn't ever play football again.

1) That's not the argument.

2) ****ing hell, Greeny. Quite a big thing, though. He abused another mans little girl. He's a nonce.

3) You will attract women of all ages. Don't be a pig and go after the schoolgirls.

4) It's not on the same level, or anywhere close. Bernie didn't go after a schoolgirl. He wen't after a mature woman in her 30's.

5) Hopefully he won't be fine and somebody can cause him serious injury, or worse.
 
I think I said he was wrong in the second para saffy. It's the knowing that makes it wrong as I think everyone here has agreed. However, to find a 15 year old attractive if you have no clue she is 15 is not a crime and it was suggested that a man of his age shouldn't find a young female attractive. Well, I repeat they aren't dead they are just older. Finding somebody attractive and not acting on it is a way way different ball game than doing something about it. I don't find it strange to think a much younger person than me is attractive. I have eyes that work and an opinion just the same as somebody a lot younger than myself. I also don't agree with Bernie and the Trumps of this world. They are in essence using their wealth to buy a woman who would not go near them if they were broke. That's as seedy in my book.

I would also raise the point about the groups of the 60's and 70's who, if everyone was honest would all face charges of under age sexploitation. Girls threw themselves at pop stars in that era and the groups were mostly so stoned out of their brains they bonked anything that moved. They did what Johnson did and used their fame. Nobody will persuade me that they didn't know the age range either. Strangely a lot of these super stars are still going and people still flock to their concerts holding them in the highest esteem. Nonces one and all?

Top 12/13, bottom 25/27. We all get the point and I think we all know where to draw the line but the one that gets to me are those American mothers who put their daughters into beauty pageants, they need serious therapy :headbang:

You think the top one looks that young? When I first saw her, I thought early twenties and the bottom one looks younger than her imo. She is 17.

Way off on the bottom one, she's (apparently) 41!

The bottom one looks younger than my son's 14 year old girlfriend (my son is also 14 before anything is said!!) Suppose that's the point. TYhought the top one was late 20's

It can go both ways. I take my 6 year old daughter to girls brigade and there is a helper who I assumed was a school girl volunteer 14-15, 16 at a push? Since joining the girls brigade own page on facebook, IN ORDER TO KEEP UP WITH LATEST NEWS, EVENTS, CANCELLATIONS ETC!!!!!, I have since discovered and assumed that she is older as her profile pic is of her out on the lash with her mates. Dont know how she gets into bars personally.
