I'd stick him out the left in a 4-3-3 though but I don't know how affective he'd be
I love how a player who was signed by Mancini and played in a title winning side isn't good enough for Newcastle. We'll take our player thank you. Maybe not as skilfull as HBA but just as effective and just as good a distributor. By the way, Ben Arfa spent more time in the middle than on the right against Chelsea! Free role but it certainly didn't work and Anita looked totally out of his depth but I suppose still better than anyone at SAFC?
So you are saying HBA is better than Johnson in every aspect of the game. HBA is a very good player on his day but is far to inconsistant.
It matters not that he supported Newcastle as a kid. Professional footballers are long past supporting a club in the main by the time they are men, they want to do well for the club they play for.
To be fair you'd not find any wanting to swap Ben Arfa for Johnson.
Who is better? Does it matter? Both are very good players. We could never have went for Johnson as you couldn't play him and Benni. You'd get torn to shreds as they both have the exact same trait, they go to sleep when defending. You carry a player like that because they bring the class but carrying 2 would be suicide IMO.
