I think we’ll be ok.ok guv I’ll keep quiet now, I’ve made my point
Fair to say that bringing in JFH and demoting JJ would not be the most popular thing TS could do. Neither is saying that JJ is an excellent assistant manager. Apparently loads of fans are tweeting him to give JJ the contract permanently, just as they did with LLB, and just as they did to sack Adkins. Social media is a two-edged sword.I did see someone saying that Man Utd fans were screaming at the club to get OGS signed up a couple of years ago, and look how that turned out. Very true, and fans are notoriously swift to demand owners buy things and then demand they pay again to get rid of them. However, I really don't see what more JJ could do to get the job. Our legendary ex striker Jimmy Floyd H is now saying he is hoping to get the job here as manager. e' s done a ood job turnin Burton into a settled Laue 1 team, but Jacko took Charlton up there and won, He also took seven points away from matches with Sunderland, Rotherham and Plymouth and most of us would have cut him some slack for defeats against any of them.
It's true things could yet go wrong - our injuries are piling up again. But the same would apply to any manager who took the role from under JJ's nose. We don't look unbeatable, but JJ has the team playing at 120% - any new manager inbound would have to achieve the same just to be less effecytive than Jacko, and keeping the fans onside would be tough. I remember wen RD sacked Powell and brouht in that Portuguese anager (!Cant remember the name). It was a risk, but it kepr us up, so he then let him leave and brought in Peeters, who he sacked for Luzon, and on and on. TS could save himself some grief here by acknowleging a real change in Charlton's season. No big rush to be fair, but really not much reason to wait either.
As far as I know Royston’s the only “outsider” that reads this forum - then reports back to ittvI think we’ll be ok.
As long as the Glazers don’t read this forum.
They don’t do they ?

I personally think JJ has already got the job. This is just a period of due diligence and a wish not to jinx things. There is absolutely no rush to appoint him. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And I do not believe that if we lose a couple of games that will be an excuse not to give it to him. I think he’ll still get it anyway. It is a no brainer for me. JJ has done everything that has been asked of him. The players obviously want to play for him. The Charlton fans want JJ. Sandgaard has said that 100 people have applied for the job. I really do not understand what the delay is in appointing JJ. Is Sandgaard waiting till JJ starts losing a few games, before appointing someone else?
.Possibly just after the team selection is revealed on Friday? How long before we get a thread on ITTV along the lines of **** off Jackson you ****.

Give him the job ffs …… or lose the fans ?If Sandgaard doesn't give JJ the gig this week I'll start to think the unthinkable...........................................
