It's a dark day when whiter than white John Terry gets punished by those blackguards at the FA I'm sure he'll successfully remove the black mark on his name when he appeals
he's lucky he didn't say anything to get him in more trouble if they are black guards. I'm leaving, don't worry
I don't get the size of the respective fines. Suarez 40k (but 2x the number of games), Terry 220k. I'd love to hear how they justify that, because if it doesn't make any sense I feel an appeal based on arbitrary punishment. Someone said it was due to wages, but if Suarez' offence was reckoned to be twice as bad (base on games), that means they put Terry on 10x the wages of Suarez. Another thing on the fine... bet it's more than UEFA give Lazio for their (clear and indefensible racist) chanting!
I think that both of them paid a little over a week's wages Vimhawk, so I guess it's based upon that.
The explanation given on Sky Sports between the gulf in punishments of Terry and Suarez was that Suarez did it repeatedly, Terry said it once.
The FA made an example of Roy Keane several years after he attempted to end Alf Inge Haaland's career...
Keane didn't have an impending criminal case hanging over his head though, Lidls. He should have, though.
Mourinho seems to agree with the outcome: "He's not racist, that's 100%," said the Real Madrid coach. "Probably he had a racist comment or attitude against an opponent. Sometimes in football we do things the wrong way. "If he had that reaction he should pay but please don't say he's a racist."
Given there's also the occasion he racially abused Ledley King, it's not exactly a one-off occurance.
That was denied at the time, Croydon. The way that some of our players reacted to the incident suggested that something really pissed them off, though.
Given the players were Didier Zokora and Pascal Chimbonda, whilst Didier Drogba walked away to let him face the music, I doubt it was "banter" he was using.
We don't know that though Croydon. Although the FA's justification of the ban does make sense I still feel that if he was found guilty they had to give a longer ban. As HIAG said on the Chelsea board no matter what the context of the term was used, it shouldn't have been used in the first place. I'm 100% convinced that the "lenient" ban means they cannot genuinely believe he should have been found guilty and were under too much pressure from the media to give out a ban. Bear in mind that Terry will at best miss only 3 Premier League Games, I don't think the punishment is that severe. It sets a precedent that this kind of language can be used irrespective of the context.
Looking at him, I'm willing to bet that Terry would bite the heads off hamsters. And I like hamsters. It's a bloody outrage.
John Terry is a liar - simple as. As for the FA not believing he should have been found guilty?? What a load of bollocks! As said, many times before, and admitted by you, you didn't need to be an expert lip reader to understand exactly what Terry said. Personally, I don't believe his story about the context in which he claims they were used. As, clearly, neither did the judge. Whatever the context, there is no doubt about the language he used. The only reason he got off, IMO, is because for some inexplicable reason, his "mate" choc- ice decided to vouch for him.
Ok so Terry's a racist.I'm moving on because all the brouhaha in the world won't change anything. Now I've been insulted and called white trash and honkie etc and have let it go in one ear and out of the other so why didn't Ferdinand do just that? Why make a hell of a fuss about it? Why didn't he just stick two fingers up to Terry and say "Pi$$ off you tosser" or something similar? Why so sensitive? A huge amount has been made of an angry remark on a football field where players are stressed. I've been driving and a driver of a different colour has done something stupid,I've cursed(Not in hearing range admittedly) by mentioning his ethnic background but it doesn't make me a racist.
I bet you strangle budgies for fun, don't you? Admit it. Terry strangles budgies, too, probably. You could be his brother. I cannot say that I am anything other than totally appalled.
You might not think you're racist, I don't know you so wouldn't know, but that's the definition of a racist comment.
The FA stated that a chunk of Suarez's ban was a result of him and LOLerpool trying to bullshit their way out of it with some cock and bull story about "Negrito" meaning something different in Uruguay to the rest of the Spanish-speaking world. Given that the magistrate stated that Terry's defence of repeating something Ferdinand said was a crock of ****, then they should have extended Terry's ban for the exact same reason.
