I quite liked Shearer, as a footballer, aside from being a quality striker, he was a loyal lad, could have gone to Man United, won a heap of trophies and doubled his pay, but stuck it out with his boyhood club, that is to be admired.

Terry was as slow as a carthorse and one of the nastiest little ****s to play the game in his style of play, not just his personality.

As I believe football clubs take players on for their skills and not their morals. Of course you would like to have all but in reality players aren’t like that. There’s been lots of players who have crossed the acceptable moral line off the field and sometimes on it.

Terry was never the fastest but like Adams his positional sense was second to none and he was also the club leader and legend.

Other players who have done wrong too, Cantona (kung fu) Giggs (keeping it in the family) Troy Deeney ( student batterer) Serge Aurier (police batterer) Wayne Rooney.
