Time for fans to get off their arses and throw our toys four the pram.

I might consider returning for pitch invasions and whatnot. Big fines from the league for such like, hit those ****ers where it hurts them.

Even sadder when you think of Allam's generosity in non-footballing areas.

Allam's generosity in other areas = trying to buy the Labour Party, buying himself a pretend doctorate, buying himself a squash tournament so he can go watch it without having to travel very far, and wouldn't surprise me if the medical things one day turn out to have been so a family member could jump the waiting list that even BUPA had.

Much as I want to see the end of his relationship with City jibes like that are unwarranted. There is one person on this forum with reason to be grateful for Allam's generosity. Another, no admirer of his, said his wife worked at the hospital where was he treated recently and he was very unassuming.

Maybe he's unassuming now as he's regretting his previous conduct, or realises now that his wealth/status means **** all at the end of the day as illness can hit any of us. In which case it's a shame it required his illness to bring it about as he could have done so much more in the areas he bollocksed up in had he had that sense of perspective earlier instead of acting how he did.

It's great that people have benefitted from what he's done, but when he's later tried to turn every other act of "generosity" into leverage over people, or dishonestly used the thank yous for it to improve the perception of himself to others it makes it very difficult to believe that there wasn't some self interest, either immediately, or perceived future opportunity behind that as well. I don't see why him being ill now should lead to us not being able to doubt his previous motives.

And so ****ing what if he did?

If you want to know why HCST chickened into an easy game cup target rather than a prolific league game, why protests are poorly attended and there is so much perceived 'apathy', it's comments and attitudes like this.

You're as bad as each other.

And there's plenty of other demonstrations of his behaviour that's far from unassuming. You judge people on their overall behaviour not just an attitude someone might adopt in a particular situation. Anyway, being in hospital facing serious health issues no doubt is very humbling, for a while. It doesn't seem to have fundamentally changed the man though.
