Friend of mine living overseas paid for a wall plaque in memory of the lads who had passed away over the years, which I thought was a lovely gesture. It has pride of place under the East Stand near E6.Did he get sorted with his housing etc
Wasn’t he homeless or something
It would be nice for a good obituary from some of the friends he obviously has on here
Mrs B, my friend who told me of his passing said he was 63.
Last time I saw him he was living off Holderness Road, Diadem way, and working at Cranswick's.Did he get sorted with his housing etc

I met John at an Ex Tigers fund raiser a year last March in Walton Club. He was in his element meeting and speaking to all the old players.Last time I saw him he was living off Holderness Road, Diadem way, and working at Cranswick's.
I actually tried to get him lodging at a mates house on Chants Ave, but it fell through purely due to bad timing. Two other people moved in there before he got the chance.
We were PMing at that time and he did seem a little bit desperate, but the chance had gone and there was nothing I could do about it.
RIP John x

He got housing in the end at sheltered housing on diadem grove and lived there as far as I know until he passed away , always positive , always happy ... if you know him you know what I mean , I'm still in shock after hearing about this last night ... I dont know what else to say except RIP my good friend Firthy
I didn't know him, mate. I just read his story and got in touch with him. My mate was happy to entertain the idea of him lodging at his house, but as I say, the timing was terrible and the two spare rooms were taken before anything could be arranged. He got housing in the end at sheltered housing on diadem grove and lived there as far as I know until he passed away , always positive , always happy ... if you know him you know what I mean , I'm still in shock after hearing about this last night ... Remember John a few years back when he was living in the States, he organised a get together city ex pats at The Avenues first game of the season v Brighton I think.
RIP
See Post 76 on this thread Mt which you posted in August 2016. Have you a copy of the photo of that event which was shown on here?
This one ?
Thanks for that which is the one I alluded to. You posted that in 2o12 just after the August home Brighton match. Had a previous look on your "Board Meet Up" thread but found your photo on there was no longer available.
Is it you with the photo shopped head? Dean 24 is in the centre and Tiger 40 is on the far right. Think CANADATIGER was at the match but missed the photo shoot.
