Came to Elland Road, failed the medical.

Two goals in Watford's first two competitive fixtures after "failing that medical" (Ken Bates knows the de-facto legal bounds of what he can and cannot say), and missed only five league games all season.

Good thing you managed to steer clear of that cripple.

Worth more than 300k to us with his experience and qualities in midfield where we are pretty weak otherwise.

Also chipped in with as many,if not more goals than the likes of Cowie and Deeney who are attacking players ofcourse!

I wouldn't trust Mr Bas to let Malky spend any money gained on a replacement either...

Bit worrying others on the WFC forums seem to be suggesting Eustace saod "goodbye" at Preston though although this might just be cycnical thinking.

It wouldn't say much for our ambition if we have to sell our captain within a week of the season ending.

Nothing Concrete yet ! Lets hope it stays that way!

All you horns on twitter get the skipper to stay! tell him he is loved here and the rams fans dont want him ! Look on Derby forums and you will see this is true!

He wasn't much loved in his first year here - but now I would be really sorry to see him go - we need him

I dont think he will go, i know he was there not that long ago, so might have ties with the club, but he will know he is nearing the end of his playing days and if i were him i would like to stay where i have established myself and knew i was wanted. Who is to say he wont fail a medical there?

I have a thought. Mat Sadler is a left back, we need a left back. Why does the club not offer him a new contract within the new plan? If he accept good if he does not he goes.

I think that the club feels that he is not good enough and that the chances he got were enough to prove this. But i for one dont agree. I think he would be a much bettter player than LD on the left, and put LD on the right where he belongs. But having said that, i would bite anyones hand off, including my own, if Andy Taylor were to come over on a free!!!

Sounds like the typical smug, 'in the know' internet football fan but I have it on good authority that Eustace did fail his medical. Leeds offered more than Watford, he was happy to move (like he said during the 'complete rubbish' interview, he was no doubt thinking of his family), but when he failed it seems Watford made an improved offer and were happy to take the gamble on his fitness which paid off.

Hmm, what's an 'in the know' internet football fan? I think you'll find, Loiner, that John Eustace decided not to go to Leeds, for whatever reason, and for which we are very grateful. Since he obviously has no medical problems, and has not had for most of the season, i think your 'good authority' might just have it wrong in this case.
