I'd never heard of John Bond until this week. The first Norwich manager I was really conscious of was Mike Walker. Treacle felt we were being disrespectful by not posting on this thread when you gents were so gracious about Sir Bobby. My absence until now certainly wasn't out of spite, rest in peace Mr Bond.

Hampy, most of us have no problem with the fact that you had not heard of JB, so felt no need to respond! <ok> Respect to you for making this effort!

Yep, it is a nice thread and over 100 posts thus far. A fitting tribute to a man who is considered by many as the best manager we've ever had because of the way he transformed our club. It was he who established City as a top flight club and those foundations laid ensured that we only spent three seasons outside of the top division between 1972 and 1995, bouncing straight back after all three relegations <ok>

I should add that he did it on a very limited budget too <ok>

I know John wasn't Liverpool's biggest fan back in his Norwich days but his team 'always' played the game the way it should be played.

Not forgetting Justin's goal of the season against us.

    Both now re-united, RIP.<rose>
