I ended up having to listened to the radio commentary of our match at the weekend on Talksport. The woman commentator was excellent. Insightful and honest. Very critical of the referee for the yellow cards awarded (and those not), talked intelligently about Burstow (not good enough at the press because he was out of synch with the rest of our team) etc. Far better than many of the big name ex pros who get the job and have little to say of any note. Barton is a twat. I suspect his anti-demal commentator rants were he has compared them to Fred and Rose West are simply a way to get some attention. Can't understand why anyone would either employ him or consider his opinions as being relevant.
Why? It's just a fact. Don't let facts annoy you. I'm not against women's football in any way. It's just different and doesn't appeal to me as a supporter of men's football.
It surely can't be long before the Oxford English Dictionary use 'Joey Barton' as an example of the word 'bellend'. Joey Barton - 12:24 PM · Jun 18th, 2024 “Between 8th and 12th January 2024 I published 11 posts which accused Jeremy Vine of having a sexual interest in children, and created a hashtag which made the same allegations, which were viewed millions of times. I recognise that this is a very serious allegation. It is untrue. I do not believe that Mr Vine has a sexual interest in children, and I want to set the record straight. I also published posts during the same period in which I referred to Mr Vine having advocated forced vaccination during the Covid 19 pandemic, based upon a video clip of his TV programme. I accept that he did not advocate this policy and that the video clip has been edited to give a misleading impression of what he was in fact saying. I then taunted and abused Mr Vine for bringing a legal complaint against me. I have agreed not to make the same allegations again about Mr Vine and I apologise to him for the distress that he has suffered. To resolve his claims against me in defamation and harassment, I have agreed to pay Mr Vine £75,000 in damages and his legal costs.”
Haven't read your response as it looks to long winded. My question tho is...what brought it on? It was months ago! Not like you to trawl through messages from the distant past
What I've quoted is from a few hours ago and posted on a thread called 'Joey Barton'. No idea why anyone would have a problem with that tbh, it's obviously the most appropriate thread. Instead of actually replying to what I've posted you've pretended you haven't read it, then whinged that it's all in the past and, when all else clearly fails, brought another poster into it for some reason ... ... sorry if you have a crush on Joey but he's just had to eat shyte and pay out for accepting he was wrong. Bless, you must really love him
On my life I genuinely haven't read your reply. A crush on him? How old are you? I'm having a quiet Tuesday and for the first time today thought I'd check on here to see what the latest was with the manager search and was surprised to see you quote a post of mine from months ago.
Now it's saying I have had a post deleted? Is this a wind up? Like Russia on here if your face doesn't fit with certain people on here.
Such a quiet Tuesday you couldn't spare thirty seconds to actually read the post before responding So, having spent all this time arguing, do you think he's a bellend or not?
I didn't repost your post, I answered it with bang up to date information from today. The thread is actually called 'Joey Barton' ... ... where should I have posted the most recent info about Joey Barton
That's class. Well done Jeremy Vine, as I'm sure that statement is part of the claim alongside the £75,000. Barton seems to be under the impression you can say whatever ya want on social media with no consequences. That is true about Dave from the Dog and Duck who has 15 followers including 12 family members. But when you have a large following that means your post is going to be viewed over a million times ya can't get away with that ****!
