The police physically stopped him from leaving Oakwell after the game on the weekend. The Barnsley manager has had emergency dental treatment after apparently being headbutted after the game.

Is it not about time that the FA dumped him out of the sport for good?

I expected Fleetwood to sack him yesterday. I'm guessing that the enquiry is taking a bit longer than 1 day. The end outcome must surely be a sacking after that (assuming that he is guilty of the allegations)

Funny this one, I rarely watch the BBC Saturday lunch time footie programme (can't even remember it's name) but they did a short feature on Fleetwood interviewing players, manager, and chairman and the players/chairman were full of praise for Barton on how the club as a whole had grown around him and how happy they were league position wise and the Chairman was so positive of the future under Barton.
Fast forward to Saturday and the Dick puts all this in jeopardy cause he can't control himself (if the allegations are true).
Are the club waiting hoping it will all blow over or are they going to take action against him if this is all put into the hands of the Authorities.
Surely the FA have to involve themselves eventually not to mention the Managers Assoc.
This could have a big effect on our forthcoming match at their place so I watch this space with interest.

Reading the list of violent stuff he's done over the years is damning, it's one thing after another.

If he gets away with this there'll just be something else before long.

Didn't he also stub a cigar out in a youth team players' eye on a night out?

He's a charmer.

Yes it is. The guy's a thug and a mug.

Ridiculous thing is, he’s done such a good job there and he was likely catching the eye of championship clubs.

He’s ****ed it now, same way he ****ed his career, he was a very decent footballer who ruined any chance of big clubs and England.

He’s now ****ed his managerial career before he had a break. Mug.

Lee Bowyer is showing him how it's done. It's looking like he's got all the qualities to go on and be a very decent manager.

I'm sure Barton had a few quid to spend and he's been totally outdone by Bowyer who has had to make do with loan signings and free transfers to replace a few of Charlton's better players leaving in the summer. He's got the crowds back at the Valley after the supporters had decided to stay away. Great prospect.

Agreed, mentioned on one of the match threads the other day I think, he’s doing an incredible job.
