Suarez went down like a sack of **** in our game everytime someone came near him but you dont see anyone grabing him by the shirt and pulling him up, it would have been a streight red!

Some people are saying just coz its Joey hes getting grief! Shouldnt he be trying to disspell his tainted past by not getting involved in these things rather then starting fights on the pitch then sobbing and saying its not his fault?

Bollocks!

That's cos your players are pussies.

I most certainly am not!

Bricking ****s.

To be honest there has been very little over-confidence displayed by either set of fans, but Chappaz keeps on trying to construct a perception that Sunderland fans are all predicting victory without any evidence to back his claims up: so I thought I would print the same ****e, but just the other way round...

If you mean do they enjoy a good ****, you may well be right

Thats because the mans a fool, trouble is he realy believes he is a clever fool, the worst kind

This looks like a derby where in truth neither sides fans are overconfident if confident at all. Likely to be close like most derbies. Form as usual can go out of the window in a derby although neither side can be said to be in great form anyway. As the home team sunderland likely to start slight favourites but anything can happen. So early in the season i suspect both sides wouldnt be disapointed with a draw and a point clocked up especially after a good point each in the first game.

This is what i'd say. Top comment <ok>

I think it was given as a newcastle free kick as Newcastle were in posesstion (sp?) and the ref treated it as a break in play rather than a foul (doesn't make much sense really but its the best i can think off)

I agree with this except for the last bit. I think the refereee does not give a penalty because he was trying to play advantage at the time to keep play moving. Bartons actions meant he had to stop the play and go back to the incident. It matters not if Barton drags Gervinho to his feet as that would be considered part of the original incident. No advantage, play stopped and appropriate action taken. He would have had to wait until play stopped to take action otherwise. I think we all know he wouldn't have went back though and booked Gervinho for diving, its one of those things refs just let go.

EDIT: It was actually the original comment this comment related to from a Sunderland fan that I agreed with.
