A lot of players have different strengths which suit different leagues. Joes a strong fit and mobile player with a fantastic attitude.

That suits him perfectly for a high energy midfielder. He tracks back and is arguably our most hard working player. That’s never been in doubt.

It’s his quality in front of goal which isn’t required in a midfield trio.

He’s almost the first name on the team sheet.

Him Bruno and Willock is an extremely good strong mobile midfield and a young one at that.

Can't wait to see Joe and Bruno as the double pivot and allowing Willock to drive forwards.

Absolutely. And that means we don’t get to see Shelvey for much longer.

He’s even said in an interview he is aware his days are numbered and he just wants to help us begin the journey.

I would love to see a "double pivot" central midfield with Bruno and Joelinton. For all Shelvey's done well recently, he'll eventually go back to lazy hollywood passes. Joelinton can transition and spot a pass, like Bruno, so can leave the attacking to actual attackers. I'd probably rather Bruno went forward than Joelinton, at least the former can hit a shot.

to be fair the shooting is a bonus, if he can stay on his own 2 feet past the 18 yard line its a remarkable improvement.

So what I'm taking from this is you all think Chaos was wrong in his assertion that Big Joe is a DM. He's either box to box or a hard working central midfielder? Not a DM, Anchor, or whatever else you want to term it.

What say you Chaos? They are saying you are wrong mate and look silly posting Trumpy pics.

CM/CDM should be on his FIFA profile. Everybody's right. Let's hug.

Except Eddie, who said he's an attacker.

My opinion is still that he's not a DM. He has defensive qualities but he's just a hard working LCM. He isn't primarily defensive minded player. He is basically box to box, but just **** in the opposition box.

So you're just ignoring that his best ability is interception and finding a way out of tight areas?

He's most certainly a CM if not a DM and feel like for once I spotted something. He's most definitely not an attacking player imo.

What they said was he's not cm and even that he can't win a ball.

Today Eddie Howe confirmed how good he is at interceptions and finding a way out of tight areas. [HASHTAG]#exactly[/HASHTAG] the attributes I spotted and posted in this very thread well before Howe even existed at nufc.

We all get things wrong, but I nailed this one...even nixon is better than Roly

I suppose it now depends on how he progresses. He could become a DCM. At this point in time he's a CM with no particular speciality but given coaching and time he could become that DCM

Is he not called Nickson though? :bandit:

It would appear he's a cm that can play any role Howe asks hin too. I don't quite understand why some are claiming he's more suited to attacking still at this point because he's absolutely useless at it. He can feed the attacking players though and he's very good at it.

Ultimately whoevers right or wrong doesn't matter anyway it's a win for us all if he's playing well in any position and I'm delighted for him because he never gave up and took a load of abuse. Well done to the lad.
