He was indeed.
You see this is the thing.
The sky commentators got us today. The support. The sheer volume. We are not deluded. We just love our club. And I think they got it.
Watching the scenes was emotional.
We are second bottom: won 1 game all season. And look at that support.
And Joelinton is officially epitomising us. He’s like the Phoenix coming out of the ashes.

My opinion is still that he's not a DM. He has defensive qualities but he's just a hard working LCM. He isn't primarily defensive minded player. He is basically box to box, but just **** in the opposition box.
You've basically described someone who is clearly not a box to box midfielder
You don't have to be able to score goals to be box to box. The only thing he's crap at is scoring.
He can take the ball from one third to the opposition third effectively. He's not just a defensive mid. He covers too much ground for that IMO.
He has attacking qualities, he just can't finish that's all. Willock is box to box the same but he doesn't score for **** either, nor doesn't he assist.

Ok, but can we agree he's not a defensive midfielder? He's a CM with defensive qualities and attacking qualities? Sticking Joelinton in a CDM spot would be a waste.
To me a box to box player is someone who can be a holding midfielder off need arises. Who can be an attacking midfielder off the bed arises. Basically has all the qualities of all other types of midfielders.
