As I said, is he better than what we have, IMO he is better than Rodwell, Gibson Honeymen and Gooch, so yeah, I would bring him in. there is a huge difference between being well stocked in midfield and having enough quality in midfield.

I dont think he is better than what we have. He used to be half decent but the fact he hasnt got a club says it all to me.
Id rather play and develop Honeyman whos had a great season so far and save about 20k a week.
Like I said we also have Williams now aswell.

As a fan, the money side is of no concern to me, on a pure football perspective, I just feel Ledley would offer the experience, nous and know how that the likes of Honeymen just doesn't;t have at this level. Having watched all our games live so far, I feel we really miss any kind of quality we are a rank ordinary team who will struggle, we desperately need someone with experience. might not be Ledley, but we need someone.

In an ideal world we'd sign him, but get rid of rodwell and gibson. But as that aint happening we are lummbered.

On a point of principle I agree with you
However, the sceptic in me thinks we will be panicking for a centre forward in the Jan window so we'd be better off keeping a bit of room for manoeuvre in our wages budget

Anyone who grafts is worth a look. Can't hurt our feckless bunch of wasters to have another good example of a proper professional...

Gibson's contract is up in Jan, isn't It? I'd bring Ledley in now to fill the gap that he will leave and Ledley will be more likely to be a decent option for a starting place than that useless twat.

Having said that, we more urgently need another striker and some wingers than yet another centre mid.

I wanted a CM in for that very reason. Depends on how much room there is on the wage bill but if there's only enough to bring one player in than a Striker like Lambert all day long for me.

It's like the candid smile, you give to the postman when he delivers you a small package, 'cheers mate', Rodwell's ok, EH? <laugh>

Rodwell will never be ok because he doesn't want to be a footballer anymore..<ok>

He'd be alright in the Championship if there was ever a time that he wasn't injured and was match fit.

To be clear when I say alright I mean barely passable but still passable.

We need every player like him we can get, another 41 games plus at least one league cup and F A cup game, it would be nice if Simon could change/rotate half the team between Saturday and Tuesday.
