We wont get Joe for £8m roof they would rather keep him and offer him an extension after the way he has performed. Liverpool hold all the cards.
Allen may or may not holds his cards but we hold our cards alone ....my prediction , no one else is interested after our bid is rejected , we end up getting him for 7 million with performance extras adding up to a possible 2 million before the window closes .......or , he plays out his last season without extending and we get him in the January for a whole lot less or in the summer for nothing and Joe gets massive wages

That's a possibility, but we need him this season, not in 13 months time.

Southampton is my bet , they can offer more money , not too far form "home" for the wife and a club who have a bit more stability about them than us atm .
They can offer more , as others can , but they won't .There is so much interest in Allen because of the one year remaining on his contract and him not fitting into Liverpools plans . Once our 8 million didn't do it , the others will be scared off .. including Southampton IMO .

Well they have the money and change

The fact is Jenkins has not reached the premiership yet , he is still in the lower leagues. He never wanted Bony the first time until he was overruled and he is short sighted again by vetoing him coming back, He cant grasp that if you pay peanuts for a striker you will probably get a good striker in the lower leagues but a rubbish striker for premiership football. Palace who i see is at our level are in for a £32m striker because their chairman knows that the strikers position is the most important and expensive player you will pay that much for.....W e should be looking at £20m striker at the very least and not trying to bargain hunt as you wont find a striker good enough.......The same with Joe ..get in there with what Liverpool wants and get our man....

Well with Leon now due to hang his boots up, Joe is the only player that comes close to what Leon has offered over the years, so I hope Huw is focused on this, as control of the midfield is crucial to our style of game, Joe would fill that position with more offensive ability going forward than Leon, it's a no brainer considering that Joe has just one year left on his contract, and another season for him on the bench, surely Huw is not this stupid to look a gift horse in the mouth?..........<ok>
