I always thought Altidore would develop into a fine player, and as long as its in no way to our expense, I hope/expect to be proven right this season.

There were some viruses, but there was also an issue with people posting advertising links all over the place.

I think it's mainly the advertising, it also picks up on key words in early posts as well, although I don't know what's on the current list as it's changed based on what spambots are trying to post at different times. (If you just added words you'd end up with every post any new user made being picked up)

First feedback from Lyon supporter on Briand:

When I mentioned that Hull City were interested he said "Good, it will get him off our wage bill!", Lyon need to trim the costs & are hoping to offload Gourcuff, Gomis & Briand.

asked about the player he says: pros - Fast & technical, can play winger & attack; cons - missed a lot of last season through injury & misses a lot of chances on goal - blazes it over the bar

maybe he's more of a winger than a striker..

Will have a second opinion Monday from someone who played for Nancy FC

He has a very pointy head. If he heads the ball it may burst

Think outside of the box Mullet FFS.

Yes he has got a pointy head but think of it as a positive.

He could be used a bit like Ram man, imagine the damage he could do to the enemy goalkeeper at corners with that swede.

He could have somebody's eye out, or worse.

And that surely is a mighty fine tool to have at your disposal.

Latest news is that despite his will to stay his coach has officially announced he will be leaving (with Gomis) in August. No rumour as to where.

Just wondering whether he turned us down because of our stature or because he wanted to stay at OL.

Could this mean it could be back on the cards?

I guess only the player knows, I'm guessing he probably feels he will find a bigger club, which he may well do.

I think that if there's a chance we should put all our efforts in getting him. He's what we're missing midfielder/winger/striker with pace.

This is definitely a long shot though.

But Steve Bruce doesn't think we're missing that, as we have Aluko/Brady? It's a defensive midfielder, an enforcer, that we're apparently missing; even though I think Meyler could do that job.
