He is definately worth a punt. He was on 606 last weekend dicussing the Suarez issue and other football topics and I was extremely impressed at his knowledge and eloquence. In my opinion, a marked difference to Robbie Savage who I find not to be too sympathetic to the opinions of some fans and, in one instance I heard, all to willing to be offensive and aggressive with someone whose opinion he did not share. All in all, I prefer this programme with Alan Green in the chair - far more diplomatic and someone with a greater depth of knowledge than Chapman.
I would not be too disappointed with Jason Roberts on loan. As has been said our current league position has given us a short term goal and it would be a huge surprise and a big ask to think that Lee can arrive into a new league and new team and become an automatic first choice. We need a player who can step in and take care of the physical requirements of the league and be a secondary target man to Lambert. Players like Lukas and Jay Rod would be costly and be unlikely to want to be second choice.
I see Jason Roberts has just signed for Reading. A lot of people thought he wouldn't drop down and we couldn't afford his wages. I still think he would have been a cracking signing and would've been exactly what we needed against Leicester!
