Apparently though we are in for Douglas Luiz from Villa, who I actually really rate. He'd be a really decent signing and would immediately improve our midfield.
But we are desperate for a striker tbh. Aubameyang is toast, Nketiah is **** and Lacazette is inconsistent. Apparently we're after Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Can't say I know much about him, but he's supposed to be a beast.

Douglas Luiz is a solid player, you'd take him over Xhaka any day of the week. Be surprised if Villa sold him though this late in the window, seems a key player for them and I'd imagine their owners wanna keep Stevie G sweet. Money talks though.
We were linked with Osimhen when he was at Lille but I said he'd never join us as backup to Kane as he was one of Ligue 1's top prospects and would be looking for guaranteed minutes. Doing alright in Italy with Napoli, be a decent signing if you get him, can't see him being cheap though, didn't he join Napoli for like £50m-£60m? I'd imagine they'd wanna make a profit on that too if they sold.
He's available for £54m apparently. Which is odd, like you say it's less that Napoli paid for him. Don't know how much strength there is to the rumours, but he'd be a decent signing for us. I remember him terrorising Lesta's defence when they played Napoli, think he scored twice against them. So he'd be worth it simply to Bantz Flossy lol
Luiz would seem to be a hard one to get over the line, especially as Villa seems to be having a bit of a resurgence under Gerrard and have just added Coutinho to that squad too. But again, like you say, if they money is on the table then they might be tempted.
