I don't think our owners lack money. In fact they have plenty. I think the FFP thingy is a problem. I now think it's going to be a massive problem. We don’t lack ambition WE LACK MONEY ff’s
However what they do lack is common sense.

I honestly think the ambition this season is to stay in the Championship whilst balancing the books. I could live with that if the style of football was better.
If the ambition is to stay in the championship then it only highlights my comment even more!!!
Sadly I think they will go hand in hand.I'd take league one over liquidation
£4m for Freeman seems like a pretty good deal to me
Never got near the first team....Not too worried...Another one gone ...

Wouldn't think so....there will be a lot of speculation in next 3 days.
We are also increasingly linked with Cahill.... Get a couple of million for Cousins (who am I kidding???) and Cahill till end of season.
As I posted yesterday...

You reckon he is keeping us up now? Selling or losing one of the holy trinity of midfielders who don’t help us score goals and don’t stop us conceding them might loosen things up, might even see a winger on the pitch who is allowed to attack. Not if selling our best offensive player leads to relegation.
The business model needs some planning. The best 11 we could put out now is barely good enough for low mid table in this League, and Ollie never picks the best 11. Freeman frustrates me because his finishing (shots and final pass) is often so weak compared to his usually excellent play in midfield. But he clearly generates our best play and he still has about the best assist stats in the League. Losing him now without a very good replacement could well send us to League 1.You reckon he is keeping us up now? I know he’s a decent player, but if we make money on him, that’s the business model.

I can’t find any real info on how much money being relegated from the Championship costs. I suspect it’s much less than losing the PL parachute payments which we are about to, and is more of a blow to pride. Hopefully we have learned from the past and have relegation clauses in the players contracts, as their wages are by far the biggest cost.My point is that we are still in a precarious position and relegation would cost us a lot more than £4m. He doesn’t score enough goals (nowhere near enough goals) but he does provide a lot of assists. He also adds a touch of flair, something we are sadly lacking. Now if it was Luongo that would be a different matter.
