McCarthy has played the last couple of games for Southampton. Unbelievably, because he is crap.
Presumably we will have to cancel Lumley’s loan to Blackpool if this goes through.
Would be a disaster if Smithies goes, top quality keeper. The money would be used to plug the financial holes made by poor management and player decisions. Used to cover up how badly this club is run. Pathetic that some people on here think it’s ok and that we’ll be ok. He’s by far one of our best players and our team will be weaker. Just what we need right now.
The club was run very badly, but is now being run on a sustainable basis. Sadly, this means that - for the right price - we will have to sell our assets.
I can't see palace bidding 10 million for him. Not saying hes not worth that in today's market but I think he will go if he does for closer to 5
Sustainability means the manager HAS to improve players to prevent us going down, hard to see that happening with the present incumbent. A good example is Lee Johnson at Bristol City, spot the difference?...
Gave the club the name of a fantasic player who would have cost nothing, scores for fun. Club couldn't be bothered driving 25 miles to have a look.
Good I hope the bloke at my work was wrong about it but seemed genuine, there again he is palarse!
It wouldn't be a surprise if it did happen, surprised we've managed to keep him this long really but at 10m it would have to be done.
Worth 10m Best consistent shot stopper for many years. I suggest if he does go but only for 10m then we play rush keepers
