Attacker Taylor Tombides has re-joined the Gulls from Hull City while midfielder Tambeson Eyong has departed.
Tombides, 19, impressed for Canvey during an eight-game loan spell from West Ham United last season, scoring a hattrick on his debut in a 4-3 defeat to Bury Town.
He signed for Hull City in the summer after a successful trial, but has recently been released by the Tigers and linked back up with Danny Heale.

I see that Jelavic has been shipped out to a Chinese second division club for £2 million. That gives The Hammers a nett loss of £1 Million for 1 goal. That turned out well then - perhaps he wished he'd stayed?
I doubt it - with this latest move he's shown what his true motivation is, his BS statement of ''I need to play at a higher level than the Championship'' really should have been ''I aren't taking a ****ing pay-cut, I'm off.'' We'd have all had a little rant at that but, I for one, would have respected his honesty (after a wee rant of course).
I hate to disappoint you all, but pretty much every footballer follows the money, whatever bollocks they come out with in interviews.

They'd soon be shot down though eh? We're all big boys, the truth shouldn't hurt anyone, it's lies and BS that are the problem.
He's a midfielder though and we've just bought Powell, don't think we'd need him.

If you ever expect a player, who's paid a small fortune every week, to say he wants to be somewhere else, you'll be even more disappointed.
