That would be great, although Blackburn fans think he's be a bench warmer for the rest of the season, apparently Paul Lamberts not a Rhodes fan.

That just goes to show what a useless jock twat Lambert is - ''manager not a fan of player who scores a goal every other game'' ......... you really couldn't make it up!

not a fan ????????????/ then this sums Lambert up, must be too attack minded for him. Ok he is a greedy twat, but he knows where the net is, and in this league or any other a striker who regularly bags you 20+ goals a season is worth their weight in gold.

Apparently Fulham striker Moussa Dembele's deal to Spurs has collapsed, something about Spurs not being willing to loan him back to Fulham..

Just spent half an hour on the Blackburn forum, there explanation why no PL club has come in for Rhodes is 1) no pace 2) his work rate 3) his wages ,and that's from his own fans.

No pace and a lousy work rate are a spot on description for Rhodes. Him going to Boro for the amounts quoted wouldn't have bothered me at all. The deal that does worry me (if true) is Pritchard teaming up with Gray again at Burnley. They were a lethal combination together for Brentford last season and could cause us a lot of grief next week if reunited. Dyche is doing a great job over there. Gray will score 25+ goals this season and a big win over us will make them promotion favourites IMO. McCormack doesnt seem to be going anywhere.

To be fair, it was all about Jota last season. They've loaned him out to Eibar in Spain until summer because he's going through some 'personal' issues, something to do with his family, shame because I'd say he was more influential than Gray was last season.

Rumours of his final wage with all bonuses being 90k a week !!!

Why do footballers and their agents insist on being greedy? Surely, a player like Rhodes is already on a fairly decent amount at Blackburn where he can afford most if not all of the luxuries of being a top professional footballer - nice car, nice house etc etc.

Is it really that important for some of these ****ers to upgrade their Lambo to a Bugatti?

With the new sky t.v. deal kicking in next season, players and there agents are going to want even more

Have you just arrived on this planet? Do you really believe only footballers think that way?

It feels like most of the good things to happen to us in this transfer window have mostly been the failings of other clubs around us. There's no disappointment because we've come to expect it while outside the Premier League, but just once it'd be nice to be the club that's going for Jordan Rhodes or Ross McCormack (again) or actually signing Andre Gray or Conor Washington. I know, I know, no money. Still though, feels like every year this happens.

Although, the last Championship campaign we brought in Gedo and Fathi on deadline day, which came out of nowhere.
