1976 - manager says leave the missus at home with the new born and travel with the rest of the team to an away game
2016 - manager says stay at home with missus and new born and back to training on Monday

Poll: Is Brucey a 1976 or 2016 man ?

its a baby not a nuclear warhead , his misses n bairn can pile in the back of the coach and watch the game from a comfy spot - or go shopping in Knightsbridge or Camden HS or woddever , there a nightmare these modern day footyballers

Let him have the day off. If he's not going to start, we're not going to need him, he's not a game changer.

We have plenty of options in midfield to cover him for a week.

Boro apparently on the verge of signing gaston Ramirez from Southampton

Bloody hell, surely he is on fairly massive money at Southampton. I wouldn't imagine he'd want to take much less, so they must be paying a load unless this is a loan? Also, he'd be very decent at this level. Although obviously issues about consistency and whether he can be arsed.

Ramirez would be an excellent player at this level. He started getting a lot better towards the latter part of his loan here, although no helped by being continually being played out of position.

When he first came, he was a precious little flower. The gust from someone breathing on him was enough to send him off balance and tumbling to the floor. Fast forward to the 3-2 home defeat to Chelsea, he was wrestling people off the ball and causing havoc.

He definitely went back to Southampton a better player, or better suited to the premier league at least. I think he's unlucky he's not been given a real crack of the whip.

Good news he has signed an extension to his contract, I wonder whether Curtis will be next, or like Huddlestone and Elmo are likely to do wait until the summer when their contracts have run down.

I don't think he will travel for the game tomorrow, same team as last week then.

Davies has seemed a lot more positive in recent weeks maybe he will surprise us and sign an extension, would be nice to have him Dawson and Maguire around next season plus little Bruce as back up
