It has now just been confirmed. Another club where Austin has successfully passed a medical. Amazing that isn't it!

Successfully passed a medical doesn't mean they didn't spot whatever we did with his knee. It means they probably think he's worth the gamble at £4m.

At £4.5m, before he'd gone on to score a bag full in the premier league, we couldn't take that risk. Remember we were told he might finish his career or his knee could break down next week, if that was the case it was definitely the right thing to do, you know it would have happened if he came here.

Well whatever it is or isn't regarding his knee, it clearly hasn't been a problem at all.

You say this as if our medical school are rigorous, yet we failed to identify an issue with Diomande until after he had signed.

We continually rush players back too early from injuries. I think our 'medical' department is ****.

Diomande was assessed by Norweigian doctors. He got here and our medical staff found the problem worse than the Norwegian docs had.

Our medicals are done at Hull University. I agree that Hull uni is a bag of ****.

What a complete and utter load of tosh. As Brucey said previously when £11m was mentioned, that won't buy his right leg, and his left is better <laugh> Brucey has said of course anyway that he wouldn't sell to a promotion rival. I suspect the only real prospect of this happening is if Derby are promoted and we aren't, and the offer goes up significantly
But he would fall over if we sold his right leg.

Did we sign him on the Norwegian doctors assessment, why not wait until our medical staff examined him seems a bit stupid or was it a last minute panic buy.
