I don't see Blackman in the Martin class ability wise and most of Blackmans goals have been scored in the first 3 months of the season. Yes he scored a cracker here but that was more down to bad marking on our part during the build up.

Now this could be interesting, quite a while ago I mentioned Bradshaw and Paddy Madden at Scunny as two strikers we should be looking at given their current scoring records, and I`m fairly confident neither would break the bank, whether we have `any` money to splash though remains to be seen.
 
If we only buy one player this window it should be Gaston at Southamton. Put a cheeky offer in...wages would be steep but he actually played well for us. In the last 6 months of his contract as well.

He's on £80k a week, we apparently covered £50k of that last season, there's zero chance of us doing it now. He's actually played for them a couple of times recently, though his agent says he expects to get him a permanent move this month.

Was impressed with Chris Martin when he played at the KC this season but unless we get some new mega rich owners pretty quick can't see us getting him.
He signed for Derby on a free but apparently 1 or 2 Premier clubs looking at him.
Bit of a late developer, he says working with Kevin Phillips has helped him.

Cant see it his wages would be huge for us......

What type of striker do you think Bruce has in mind if he does target one? for me we want one with bags of pace, and has a magic wand...........

I'd hope he has 2 strikers on his mind. One with experience of this division and one from a lower league that can make the step up.

As previously mentioned I'd have a look at Madden at the Scunts and experienced striker I'd look at Grabban at Norwich or Crouch at Stoke would be decent or Sessegnon at Stoke.

If we do get taken over by Chinese wearing Chinos then maybe we might get some cash to sign someone like McCormack who would be a brilliant signing.
 
Don't really understand why N'Doye left! Must of being money, his wages getting cut in half won't of helped. Now he's NOT playing in a crap league and is unhappy :/
 
Bristol City now in for Zach Clough. Looks like bid accepted.

QPR trying to do a big money deal for Conon Washington from P'boro.
