He's just in poor form. He'll come good again. His work rate usually makes up for his moderate ability.
Yes, his minutes per goal last season was actually pretty decent IIRC. Certainly better than we have.
Don't rate Slimani - good goal scoring record in Portugal for one of the three decent teams in the league.
I know people think I'd bend Mitro over a barrel for a month of Sundays but he's got similar EPL goals in similar amount of games than those two combined in just over a season of not being played much. Mitro - 40 games 11 goals over 1.5 seasons OR Ings AND Slimani - 38 games 11 goals over 3 seasons.
If we are replacing anyone we need to bring in BETTER players than what we are pushing out the door.
BUT if we are seriously looking at Kenedy (as a striker/inside forward NOT LWB/LB) off Chelsea and Mitro out I'd take that. Kenedy - for me - would be one of the most exciting signings we have made in donkeys years but saying that I was over the moon when we signed Owen...
