We had the same protracted nonsense over different players in Summer, and then Bruno and Botman happened. Half of the transfer talk is bollocks anyway, made up by journalists or the twitterati, keen to report something and get a few clicks. This January was always going to be a quieter one. It may be that nothing happens and to be honest it wouldn't bother me. We don't NEED incomings - we are safe in the league. Would rather they keep looking at the longer term than rushing into something.

I agree with this completely.... no rush..... sacrifice small gains for the bigger gain.

100% this. Just because we're currently 3rd in the league does not mean we're going to go gamble £100m this month to try and secure it. We're way ahead of schedule and quite frankly the objective for this season should be achieved in the next month or so which was a top half finish.

I think we're about 90 minutes away from Wilson being dropped and Isak replacing him in the starting 11. ASM impressed the other night when he came on too. Joelinton is far more effective in the centre midfield role than out wide in my opinion and if it's a case of ASM back in the 11 with Joelinton back in centre and having to drop Longstaff or Willock then so be it. Again its just my opinion but could see Willock being dropped before Longstaff.

We'll see but all of a sudden either way newcastles bench is going to look pretty strong , so I'm not sure what the panic is from some people.

If newcastle sign one or two great, but if not they've done that because they want a better player in only 16 weeks time .

It’s weird because @Roland Deschain doesn’t normally panic or make snap judgements.

I can see a loan deal but I can’t see a first team 30m plus signing.

Chelsea have far too many players now. We could loan one from them.
