Being reported that Senderos has left the building, Valencia bound. Rene is truly shipping out the dead wood. Who will come in to replace him ??

I think an announcement on Heitinga will be coming soon - he can play left back as well as central.

Remember heitinga getting sent off in the World Cup final. Looked it up on you tube, I thought it was him who karate kicked Alonso in the chest, but it was Delong. Arguably one of the worst challenges I have ever seen. None the less, welcome on board Johnny

Thanks, Cottager. I did know about him, I was talking about today's deals. But it's good to be complete. Dempsey too, of course.

A lot of changes to the squad this window now. Five players out, five in (and Tunnicliffe/Cole for the future). That said, it's not as if we had perfect harmony in the squad before so I hope Rene can craft this squad into a team.

I think it's telling that several of the players leaving were individuals with a reputation for selfishness and the players coming in have good reputations for strong work ethics (Holtby & Tunnicliffe especially). No more luxury players and hopefully a return to the hard work and team spirit of Uncle Roy's era.

Well said Surlyc. This is the bet summarising post I have seen today. If we produce half the spirit we had from Roy's era, we'll survive this season be back in the top half of the Premiership next season. COYW

And I had forgotten Demps. Tut! So another re-cap:

Out Senderos, Ruiz, Hughes, Berbatov, Taarabt

In Dempsey, Mitroglou, Holtby, Heitinga, Kvist

With both Tunnniclffe and Cole almost absolutely certain ins.

I vote we have a change of Club name and revert to the original Fulham Football & Athletic Club

Looking at that list, we have done pretty well. Hughes and Senderos have struggled this season, heitinga coming in provides better cover, added to which he is a versatile player. Interesting though that Rene has decided to offload probably the 3 luxury players we had in Tarrabt, berbatov and Ruiz. I hope that Holtby, mitroglou and kvist are willing to put a shift in, really excited to see what mitroglou has to offer and Holtby is a class act. Hopefully the 2 ex united players will come good, any young player that has been through the united academies will have if nothing else a quality understanding of football.

Really excited that we will improve under these players, from all doom and gloom to looking forward to watch us play again.

    Come on you whites

Our squad still looks a bit thin in places, but on the face of it we've improved what we had. Feeling much happier now, and excited to see what the new boys can do!

Also, does anyone know the details of the Heitinga deal? The BBC says he's here until the end of the season, but has come on a permanent transfer.

Also, Berbs on loan to Monaco? Could we not get a fee for him? Monaco aren't short of a few quid.

I'll tell you what I know.

    INS:
Wet Sham try and scupper Mitrolgou transfer, he turns them down and joins us on a 4 and a half year deal.
Holtby joins on loan until the end of the season, has his first training session today and is expected to play tomorrow.
Heitinga joins from Everton (not sure of the details on contract length, as I said), it's believed that we paid off the rest of his contract.
The two Utd lads aren't confirmed yet, as far as I know.

    OUTS:
Berba moves to Monaco on loan until the end of the season, we were holding him back until we confirmed Mitroglou
Hughes has gone to QPR on loan until the end of the season.
Senderos has gone to Valencia, unsure of fee but it is permanent. Same situation with him and Heitinga as Berba and Mitro.

    I think that's it.

He joined on a 'free' transfer Bidley - as predicted by Fulhaman and defined by Madness.
