"As the Greek league is less on the front of the stage, there is less talk of Mitroglou. He is discovered when playing international matches. I'm happy for him because this is a guy who has both a physical presence and a sense of finishing.... This is a true finisher. He must try to evolve to a higher level to see what he really is capable of. In any case, all the major European clubs will certainly be alert. When you look at his statistics, we cannot ignore him." - Arsene Wenger on our new signing.

Off the Fulham beat

Just found it interesting. Emmanuel Frimpong has signed for Barnsley. How, Dench!

So, getting back up to speed after my absence. Is the following all accurate:

Mitroglou in on a permanent deal
Holtby on loan for the rest of the season
Hughes and Taarabt gone

Cole and Tunnicliffe reportedly at the club since first thing this morning, but no announcement about anything official yet
Bid lodged with Swansea for Taylor, but some confusion over whether Swansea will see and whether his wife giving birth will complicate getting the deal sealed even if they do
Rumours, but nothing more than that, about Heitinga.
Berba linked with Monaco, but no actual news yet.
Rumours that we're going to sell Sidwell to West Brom for the ridiculously over-the-odds price of £4m

Have I missed anything?

Is that the size of it, or have I missed something

Answering my own post (sorry). This just appeared on the BBC website's transfer deadline update:

Fulham latest

Craven Cottage is the place to be this afternoon. Press Association Sport understands that Fulham are hoping to bring in at least three more signings before the deadline.

Netherlands international John Heitinga is currently finalising a move from Everton, while Manchester United youngsters Larnell Cole and Ryan Tunnicliffe appear close to signing.

Not going down without a fight...

I'd expect Heitinga and Tunnicliffe to come, Cole deal is on the brink of collapse and I hope to God we get Taylor as well. Couldn't ask for any more from the powers that be if we get 3/4 of those, or if they manage to make anything near that from selling Sidwell (Can't see that one happening though).

Looking elsewhere just how much would you be sh***ing yourself if you were playing in centre mid against Stoke. N'Zonzi, Charlie Adam and lee catermole. I would have require an ambulance on stand by and possibly some legal advisors.

Sounds like it will go to the wire...

Not sure if we should sell Sidders. He is a good box to box player that can score... Especially if we plan to continue in FA cup we need him.

In the horrible scenario of going down he can handle the load of Championship!

I'd be quite happy to keep Sidwell, but if the price quoted is correct, we'd be mad to turn it down - £4m for a player of his age with (I think) not long to go on his contract, particularly as we have recruited (and look like recruiting further) in his position.

Yeah.. William Kvist on loan, with an option to buy.

Despite all the talk on here, I have not been convinced that we will sign anyone at all this window.

I'm not sure we have a Chairman who is willing to invest in us. Remember in the summer he said he wanted to take us to the next level? Where is the proof of that? I can't point to a single thing that backs up that statement. And if we go down he won't even have to worry about any additional costs from building a new stand.

If this is the case then the best we can hope for are a few more loans and to slide gracefully into the championship whilst keeping the goal difference from touching three figures.

I have been so disheartened by this whole season - not just the results but the whole feel of decline, stagnation and failure - that I no longer even go into a Saturday thinking we might win but wondering how many we are going to let in.

Sad really because, for a reason that I can't begin to comprehend now, I felt quite optimistic about this season before it started. I think possibly my rose tinted world started to slip away when I saw every other team (and I do mean every) strengthening or enhancing their squad whilst we sat and did bugger all.

I refer to this post I made about 10 days ago. Unfortunately nothing has happened yet to prove this view wrong. I sincerely hope it does and you can serve me a huge slice of humble pie to eat, which I will gladly do, but it isn't looking too hopeful.

Fulhaman, here is your order; dinner is served.

(P.S. This is made in good humour, I know you're as made up about the signings as everyone else is!)
