Growing at how much we need to go up this season, if we go up we still may loose the likes of Neil & Stewart....if we dont go up no chance we will keep them

It’s more important this year than ever, as we will loose so many good players like you said. Just need that but luck and stop conceding stupid goals

Just hope the decision makers at the club also realise this. I’m all for having a long term plan but things change during the course of a season.

The performances of our young players and the danger we will lose them should we miss out on promotion is one of those, and it’s a huge factor in how we see the season.

I’m sure they are already looking at this but the owners need to weigh up how much we need to spend now to get up versus losing established players in the summer and having to spend more to replace them…plus the time it will take to settle them.

ASTON VILLA boss Steven Gerrard is ready to fight Burnley for Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil.

Villa scouts are raving about the star and Gerrard has an inside track as they are with the same agency.

Sunderland are now weighing up offers for the 20-year-old.

Burnley see him as a long-term project, while Villa have the cash to move for him sooner.

Neil operates the centre of midfield and has racked up 32 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals.

I fear he will be gone.

I've said before, if our owners have the money and financial backing that has been muted, and aslong as Dan what's to stay, the Villa link should be a none starter.

Of we don't go up this year he will be. Same with Stewart

Stewart is a Championship striker no doubt. Likes a Pritchard the same. We have the squad to go up this year, probably our best one yet but if Johnson can't get us up this year, I don't know when we'll ever go up, because quite a few of these lads won't be here next season one way or another.

We need to keep Neil and Stewart this window for definite.

Roberts linked to Wigan and RTG have decided hes going there and thats that.

Well it certainly won’t be down to the quality of the squad.

I know what you are saying mate. I think the squad depth is a problem though. Injuries to Huggins Onien and McGeady have really hurt. We really have had a weak bench at timee this last couple ot months. I hope Johnson isnt shy in telling those above him how much we need players in. We have 1 centre forward only which is mind boggling really. We are still in a really strong position to go up, but we need the owner and recruitment team to do their bit and help the squad and coaches out, otherwise I think we will be another injury or two away from losing our chance at top 2. Next couple of weeks key for me.

Quite a few players out. There's games where we look on it and unbeatable, then the next week absolutely unless. That's why I said a bit earlier about getting Defoe. Wigan have been criticised for hoovering up this one and that one, but we are now the bench mark of what happens if you don't go straight back up. It would be interesting to know if we're actually in for anyone.
