It will be a penaltyFrom memory, he was normally poor against his former clubs for us. Only one I think he scored against was Bournemouth and that was a penalty.

Johnson gets final say on transfers,Sorry but surely it’ll be Johnson or Defoe? If he demands a starting place etc? You do seem a lot more itk than me but I can’t see it just being Johnson
Johnson gets final say on transfers,
Could tell by his interview the other day he wasn't 100% on it
Oh I think that’s right. I thought that from his interview too.Johnson gets final say on transfers,

He’s put massive pressure on himself in that case. Tomorrow’s game needs to be a win or I can see it being a bit sour. It's not the recruitment team on the it will be all Johnson if it doesn't Happen
KLD and speakmen have both talked to Defoe
Possibly wages, location only an hour or so away from London and therefore his mam, closer to most media opportunities, more game time guaranteed, flexible about commute rather than living local, longer contract, future coaching opportunities. Basically any number of things that we may either not be able to offer or after full consideration be prepared to offer without even taking in to account that he may just be wary of returning and going out with a whimper, barely getting a game because Stewart has been so good.
Still think there is a chance or have you heard similar to wheatchief? He signs it off after recruitment meet. He did sign it off and we made him 2 offers. The final one was on Tuesday/Wednesday. So LJ did want Defoe in some capacity however, the devil will be in the detail.

I just wonder what sort of reaction Johnson gets tomorrow if things start to go wrong . Plenty fans have already decided the reason defoe Is not coming is down to himIf its him & he doesnt sign off, we dont get other quality options in hes put himself under massive pressure, although wmaybe gone if we dont go up...this would without doubt would be nail in coffin
If the options there then I’d sign both if I was ambitious.Serious but incredibly hypothetical question.
If we could guarantee to sign another Ross Stewart this window. Somebody who can come in cheap and score plenty of goals in this league and look ready for the Championship next season or beyond. And if not, be able to sell for £5-7m+?
Would you rather sign another Ross Stewart or Jermain Defoe right now?
Now clearly we can't guarantee another Ross Stewart. But this recruitment team's record has been pretty good despite all their criticism. If we could near enough guarantee it, wouldn't it be better to sign the player that could score 10 goals for rest of this season and then 30 next, rather than break our structures and plans to sign Defoe?
If the options there then I’d sign both if I was ambitious.
Doubt they'd want to get signing done to end arguments on a message boardEither way, I think it would be best for all concerned, fans, club and Defoe for a yes or no asap. Once arguments start on a message board between fans, (arguments and debate are two different entities), it's just not worth it like.
If he wants to come and play for us for one last bit or romance, so be it. But realistically, if he wants the media life he'll go closer to that. Personally I think he'll go to Charlton (hope I'm wrong). Odd one for me was Simon Jordan on talkSPORT tipped Charlton pretty much as Defoe left Rangers. Lots of clubs to choose from if you're pulling names out of a hat, but low and behold, Charlton are in for him.
I believe the off on the table is 6 months with option of another yearLets be clear though guys - there's a difference between LJ not wanting him, and LJ not wanting him on the terms / agreement in discussion.
For all we know JD is asking for a 2.5 year deal. He's asking to start every game. etc etc
I'm not going to post my rant from last night again. I'd love Defoe here. But only if it fits within the construct we have established. If we are willing to break that for Defoe, where does it end?
Stick to the plan. If Defoe fits into that - awesome. If not - move on.
Don't think he wants him as a player think he would prefer him as a coachHe signs it off after recruitment meet. He did sign it off and we made him 2 offers. The final one was on Tuesday/Wednesday. So LJ did want Defoe in some capacity however, the devil will be in the detail.
The first line of that I'll accept, in fact I welcome it, he's the bloke got to coach and get the best out of him. The second is your opinion, unless you know differently. My opinion is different to yours. Stalemate.Johnson gets final say on transfers,
