Some of his work is outstanding. I would love to be able to paint like that. Must be such a relaxing job. Just sitting at home nice little studio in a bedroom, bit of music on painting must be such a chilled out relaxing job. Slightly less chilled doing commissions as opposed to a subject your interested in that you can then sell.
Don't think it has worked out for him how he imagined when he moved.
I know what you mean but also since leaving us he's played in Ligue 1, the Prem and now the championship. He'd probably be in the championship with us if he stayed anyway

He seems to be taken steps down a he isn't quite cutting it at the higher levels. He probably saw himself smashing it in Ligue 1 then getting a decent move to the Premier League but it hasn't quite worked. If he stayed with us we probably would have got promoted that season and he could have progressed that way and would probably be better player now for it.
He knew he was away before that window opened. They should have given him a contract after he scored his first few goals and it was clear he was now a first team player.
You're probably right, just playing devils advocate to distract myself from waiting for transfers!
