my view is if we can afford to keep him with the players we've got, we might as well, if we aren't going to replace him. If it's a case of him going out and nobody new coming in, it feels pointless If he were to go out I'd replace with a RB or GK. But I'd be beyond shocked if we signed anyone today
Thanks for that. We lost 2-0. Leeds are ten points clear at the top. My mates son played for us, Ellis Taylor.
Coast us promotion without any doubt. Sell a 1 in 2 striker and replaced with a 1 in 200 striker!! (until we sell the latter and he becomes a 1 in 2 striker!!)
Had a look at Bristol City under 21 players a while back and this guy stood out. Was coming on as sub at the time, so thought it was pie in the sky. He still makes their bench.
Massengo has played for Monaco against PSG and in the Champions League, as well as in the championship this season. Suffice to say he's probably a decent addition if true.
Johnson signed him from Monaco for £7.2m ffs, then played him 25 times in the championship last year. If he can get him on loan in league 1 a year later that's pretty mental.
I mean, if this is true I am blown away. He's basically an energetic defensive midfielder.... https://www.skysports.com/football/...e-monaco-wonderkid-who-landed-at-bristol-city "He certainly did not pay attention to Johnson's tempering of expectation; within a fortnight the midfielder forced his way into Bristol City's starting line-up against QPR, earning rave reviews, and has not left since. Three months down the line, he has already got his own chant and afro wig sales in Bristol are enjoying something of a renaissance. His strengths belie defensive metrics to a degree. His reading of the game and his boundless energy set him apart from other midfielders at Ashton Gate in recent seasons, but he does not top many of the traditional charts. Of the few passes he has made, more than 50 per cent have been in his own half, but he is near enough in line with captain and midfield partner Josh Brownhill in terms of ball recoveries so far this season. Few children grow up dreaming of one day becoming a defensive midfielder, but Massengo clearly relishes the position and has thrived in it. Arsenal are already said to be monitoring his progress with a view to a move next summer, but they will not be the only ones if City miss out on promotion."
Leeds looked a very good side tbf. Plus a couple of their first teamers played and we had a couple of trialists playing.
must not get too excited off a baseless rumour must not get too excited off a baseless rumour must not get too excited off a baseless rumour
He wouldn’t affect the wage budget, last thing I heard is just mainly outings so will be a surprise, but a nice one
Apparently the "source" of this rumour is the person who revealed our signings of Semenyo and Wright last year before anyone else... so... must not get excited must not get excited must not get excited
