His value won't drop just because he injured
It will if it's an achilles rupture, can be career changing, depending on severity. No one will be taking a risk on him currently. Ironically I think it ups our chance of him signing a long term deal tbh.

Kevin Nisbet just turned Millwall down at £2m…

Might be worth a punt at convincing him we are a different proposition.

he doesn’t fit the previous profile but this is an extraordinary situation

I know it's said only we can during this window.
I think it might be a job for the summer
Nothing to stop them agreeing a price for the summer which then Everton demand we match. To be honest I think Dyche will keep him anyway and make some use of him.

A busy few days ahead. Ideally we need 2 new strikers. One who can hit the ground running and one who is younger would be the ideal scenario. I think that’ll be a challenge though and only expect us to get one in.

Ideally it would be Simms on a permanent bit I’d take a loan of that was all that was possible.

I’d quite like Lucas Joao from Reading. As close as a direct replacement for Stewart as I can think off. I’ve always rated him and he’s out of contract in the summer so could be available at a knockdown price. He’s potentially out of our salary range though as Reading have dished out some big contracts over the last few years.

I’d also take Maja back however I appreciate others wouldn’t. Obviously not a direct replacement for Stewart. More comparable with Simms in that he’s more a pure goal scorer but I think he’s be great in this team and is also out of contract in the summer.

I think Mowbray is hinting at bring in some experience, not so much more youngsters. I am sure he is right that we need a bit extra experience.

Thinking aloud, Will Keane is out of contract in the summer and sounds like Wigan may need some money. Probably a very hard deal to do though. Clarke-Harris could be done but someone was saying recently his attitude can be problematic. He has the game to play here I think. I find it hard to think of others we could go for. Essential we keep the likes of Pritchard and Wright I think though now, just to bring that know how when needed.

Rather lick piss off a nettle than sign either Will Keane or JCH.

We were all scratching our heads as to where Geldhart would fit in last night, I think you’ve got your answer. Allows us to continue with Clarke, Diallo and Roberts behind.
Clarke and Geldhert on left roberts and Amad on the right Scare the shut out of the centre half’s wouldn’t know who to mark
