Agreed. I never know much about signings, ( especially now!) , so I just look and watch them play for us, on our grass. That's all that counts to me.

The signings have obviously gone up many notches, and it's fantastic to see it.

But, apart from Amad who come from the PL, if I was a manager or coach up there, Dan Neil would be the first player I'd be wanting to nick. He's only just turned 21, is improving in front of our eyes, and in all normal circumstances he will continue that trend. Outstanding player that lad.

Past 6-8 weeks Dan has gone another level.

We knew he had it in him, he’s proper showing it now.

His interview few days back was so impressive. Learning the game, focusing on weakness.

Every single piece of business we do makes sense, the club is being ran magnificently.

I can’t comprehend the class and the posture of the club, just nothing leaks and it’s done.

Would an LND contract announcement shock anyone? Cos I tell you right now that is not a player who wants away, he ****ing loves the place you see it every time he scores (which is every ****ing week more or less cos he grafts his bollocks off for the badge).

Lihaj is a left sided, fast attacking player. Another ‘haven’t got’ gal filled. We have Amad but he’s better central, and we have Roberts who I ****ing love but pace is his slight let down.

We can interchange the 3 and keep them fresh. It’s textbook stuff and it’s enhancing strengths we have.

Gelhart looks a magic piece of work, totally different to Ross and another tool to change systems in game if required. We play the best football in the league and better than half the PL under Mowbray. The tension in the stadium is gone.

The owners and Speakman have my vote every day of the week they have been magnificent.

Great post and the only downside of it all is that in time players are going to be picked off. Yep I know that is part of the model the club are going with but I want to be totally selfish and have other clubs jealous of all our players! :emoticon-0105-wink:

Good post. And you make a very good point about the tension being gone from the Stadium. A home ground like that is a big advantage, but only if the players can play there comfortably and the crowd are with the team, which they always will be when they see the full on effort and improvement on disay now.

A staggering turn around in no time.

Any of us that go games will agree there were 4-5 years there were the home crowd was an advantage to the opponents.

It was understandable to a degree for sure but it wasn’t support.

It’s a monster asset now. Away support has always been beyond incredible, we are getting that at home now.

It’s fine to have a few aaaahs and boos, what then happens is there’s a dip and a roar.

We are magnificent supporters and it’s like we’ve remembered this. I spend a good 10-15 mins looking around the crowd again. I was never one for boos, but I’d spend half the game on ****ing Insta or Bet365 for a long while there (signal permitting of course,ha)

So right mate.

Reid years were incredible but we were skint and there was never really a road forward.

Ellis had the money but had zero direction, he SHOULD have been a wonderful owner, his intention was there.

Than the daft ****s.

Now, every detail looks considered, planned and covered.

I don’t give a **** what they do up the road my pride in the club right now is immense. I am ran off my feet busy with work the last 18 months and it’s back to being match day being a bit of an oasis and escape, a few hours joy.

Even when we go wrong, it’s ok. You feel that in the SOL.

Even when we were good we were almost crap.

I'd completely forgotten this. We've been talking about him for so long and he's improved so much that I completely forgot he was so young. If anyone asked me, I'd have said 23.

Stewart being linked with Bournemouth & Brentford again.

Can’t see either of them being a good move for him but it does raise the bar in contract negotiations again.

He ain’t getting ahead of Toney, but he’s way better than Solanke.

Stroll on Tuesday and he’s still here.
Depends if Toney cops a lengthy ban. They might see him as someone who could fill in during that time. They are similar players.

The thing is, likely the agent is the one "linking" him with leaks to the media. Likely neither clubs are interested

I don't think he's go to Bournemouth unless the salary gap is so vast that it's too good to turn down.

Toney has some kind of ban waiting to drop on this whole betting scandal saga and Brentford are a well run club so it is no surprise to me if they're looking at Stewart to fill the void. He'd also suit their style of play and would score goals there in my opinion. I'd be a little bit worried about this one of we can't give him what he wants.

A few days ago there were comments on here saying there are no worries about the Stewart contract and it should be signed.

No further update since, I hope we haven’t hit another snag.

Would be such a statement of intent signing him to a new deal.
