Have to admit I thought different. I can see Dyche going 2 up top and back to a really solid base. Go forward early and play from there. I can see Simms being a 3rd choice in that sort of system, and even coming on last 15 to pinch a goal at 0-0. Time will tell but I dont see Everton doing a lot of business last few days.

decent point

Agree with this. Unless the Everton hierarchy have already taken part in talks for players to leave,I can't see them doing much business. Dyche....if it's him.....will not have much time to address any outgoings and he's more likely to want to push for a player he knows and trusts to be brought in,and then trust himself to work with what he's inherited.I think his appointment would have a protective element in it to try to get them back up next season if they do indeed go down. Dyche would be good at that.

Me too. I don’t massively rate him.

I don't rate him as a couple million quid player or whatever now but I think he has a lot of potential and would learn well from Stewart.

But as I have said before the club shouldn't entertain a loan, if he his coming back it should be because he is coming permanent for a decent price that gives plenty of room for the 'model' (improve and sell for profit). If for whatever reason Everton aren't allowing that move on and reassess in the summer. It's a shame for Simms as I get the feeling the lad would come here as he like all the other young lads we are getting in sees the benefit to him!

Can I just say again how exciting this model is, I always thought selling our talent when they start doing well while would be **** to watch them leave was decent as it was better than watching ****e plodders we have had for years. One thing I didn't think about is how once the club got a reputation of giving young players a chance we would start to be a very attractive club to those players and able to sign young players who would have never considered us under Short never mind Donald! They are signing as they know they will get the chance tl okay and develop and no doubt its been explained to them the model is to sell so if they do so well they attract a top club with big offers we will let them go!
