Delicate balance, if you’re trying to sign a player and competing with other clubs getting on the wrong side of agents isn’t helpful. Need to pay going rate without getting ripped off. If a club encourages players to dump their agents then few in their right minds would go near us.

Mental that the agents fee isn't paid by the player they represent only. A rule change there would go a long way to fixing football.
It's a FCA law thing been around for years.
Loads hated Methven but he stopped all agents commission paid direct, he had a way of it coming out of the salary.
I think its still in place.
