Hindsight is a wonderful thing and so is irony, obviously no one could forsee the the injuries to both strikers for weeks on end, but Broadhead would've been the man at a club that's near the right end of the leauge, playing some cracking stuff instead of ending up at Wigan.
Trust me Nixon picks up bits from Barnsey, rtg, here, and any bloke he meets in a pub. He gets nothing off TM half the coaches managers and agents swerve him.
Jokes aside, he'll run out again in the Red and White of Sunderland before his playing days are over imo.
Always good to see the usual suspects on twitter calling the club after a negative story from a known bullshitter. When will they learn.
You don't know how close you are mate, Nixon just bleating on about wages on offer, IF HE ONLY KNEW THE TRUTH. HE DONT THO
Stewart is well worth £20k a week. Kevin Phillips was on more than that 20 years ago, and Stewart is as vital to this team as SKP was to his in his day. You pay peanuts you get monkeys as they say.
Bob where's your money? Stewart signs with us or goes to Everton and we get Simms? Or we end the window with both Stewart and Simms?
It would be great to see Henderson back at the club to show the young uns how to act and play properly. Can't see it myself any time soon unfortunately
I think if it ever did happen, it would depend on whether Henderson stopped getting picked for England, he didn't look out of place in the WC
simms is a funny one also the option of him going to coventry in a deal for there striker and cash from Everton
Seen a few people mentioning us not breaking the wage structure for Stewart, which is fair enough but it’s worth noting that £20k a week isn’t out of the ordinary in the championship. Without even bothering to look I’d put good money on half the teams in the league having a player on more than £20k a week, most of whom are nowhere near as valuable as both a player or to their club as Stewart is to us. I understand the issues it can cause with other players wanting more money if one players offered it, but to me your best player is generally on more money. It’s a no brainer to me, he’s only getting better and his value will only go up if he’s offered a new contract.
