I'd rather we signed Clyne on loan.

Limited to one loanee from any one PL club (and a total of two loanees from all PL clubs). Given that we already have Ings on loan from Liverpool, we couldn't take Clyne too (or any of their players).

Problem with the 'would be' outgoings = No takers - and then left paying out regular hefty wages as per contracts ?

After today`s game, Ralph has given a chance to most of the players who would reasonably expect to be near the first team. Some have made their case, others haven`t. I still think Cedric would improve the team, and would thrive under Ralph`s management.

January is difficult because nobody wants to sell. Well, I think there will be plenty of willingness at saints. Expect to see players lined up at the door with their bags packed on jan 01. After the last few games I will not be sorry to see Hoedt, Lemina, Long, Elyonoussi, Austin, Davis, gabbiadini doing a disappearing act. Not all of them obviously as we won’t be able to replace them but that’s a lot of first team players who really aren’t doing a shift for us. Sell to buy.

Gabbi is the only one that springs to mind that hasn’t been given a chance by RH. He’s only had a 15 minute cameo at the end of Ralphs first game in charge and hasn’t so much as made the subs bench since.

Gutted but I'm expecting he's already gone. Deal done with someone which makes me thing there's a possibility of a swap. Unfortunately we haven't had much luck with players coming from the Italian leagues recently and thats where he'll be headed.

Cedric wAs one of our better players? What team you been watching lately? He's been one of our biggest underperforming players the last 18 month's.

The truth lies somewhere in between I think. He’s improved over time, as he’s grown used to the demands of this league. He’s always had a good attitude, on the pitch anyway. But his limitations have frequently been exposed.

Was there a rumour last summer Cedric wanted out but we convinced him to stay another season? If true, perhaps Ralph has said to go now and only wants players who want to stay.

Plus I’m sure his new contract as a Euro winnner was handsome. Frees some wages too.

We may not be able to shift those we want to shift, such as Forster, so may be forced to sell players in the next tranche....not nailed on starter, but would be happy to keep as occasional starter/back up.....JWP perhaps :( May be necessary to free up money....to bring in a player(s) that Ralph wants or to just balance the books.

1-2 out, 0-1 in. Sorry.
Very likely. Not easy to shift overpaid players from a team not exactly setting the world on fire....and little chance of getting players we want in a January window without freeing up money. You have to overpay for decent players in this window and we can't afford any more mistakes. And time is limited. Our only hope is that Ralph knows that someone he really wants is at this moment sunning himself in Tenerife*...and what's the chance of that.

*Other holiday resorts are available. :)
