Did he do the same thing in that game? Have a shot rather than take it into the corner and run the clock down. And then they go and score in the last min. Sure I remember him getting the stick for that draw.

Whereas for me, it's a forward all day long. I'd say we're currently a Redmond injury away from being in the Championship next season.

We're potentially going into the Leicester game next week with Long as our only available striker! (Potentially: Ings and Obafemi injured, Gallagher injured/not match fit to be selectable, Austin suspended, Gabbi sold)

Carrillo?....:emoticon-0110-tongu

Goals keep you in divisions, tight defences win you titles; thus not our prerogative!

Suggestion on Sky that Rangers may be looking at a loan deal for Steve Davis. With only 6 months on his contract, I would suggest that it is either Steve or Rangers that at are interested in a loan deal...Steve because he may want to see what he can get when he is a free agent or Rangers because they may want to look at him first for relatively little initial outlay. Saints would probably prefer to get him off the books now.

According to a Rangers forum this is down to Davis himself.
'Yet, Davis is now reportedly keeping his options open for the summer. This means that he’s refusing to commit to Rangers this month and will instead only be coming to Ibrox until the end-of-the-season'.

I thought we’d already agreed to let him go whichever works for him?

That's probably still the case, but, if it is true that Davis prefers a loan, he may be looking to get more game time in and then get one last payday as a free agent. May not want to finish his career in Scotland....perhaps he could yet get a move to an EPL club...such as a promoted club. All speculation of course.

He's at least 5th choice, with Charlie,Shane,Danny, and Obafemi before him and that's not including any potential incomings or other starlets from the academy.
That's correct in the long term, but we may need him in the short term with 2 injured and Austin possibly facing a ban....unless we get another striker in...and this is a bad window to buy anyone in, never mind a player in demand like a good striker.

Last year we managed to find £20m striker.

Oh wait.

Ings and obafemi are out injured. Austin could be suspended. That leaves Long ... who needs to move on.

Gallagher has been our injured for a while. I'd imagine we'd want him to make a couple of appearances, at least, for the U23s before we potentially consider him for selection - at which point Ings, Obafemi and Austin would potentially all be available again, and we might even have signed a striker.

An appearance in the replay (possibly from the bench) would make a lot of sense. But I wouldn't be surprised if we don't ever see him in the league.

I get that, but a not fully fit Gallagher would be a better option on the bench than no striker.
