In Mahrez's defence he hasn't just slapped a transfer request on the table, he has been trying for a move since the summer. And it's also not really his fault that City decide to show a big interest 24 hours before the window closes.

What is he supposed to do put in a transfer request when no one is showing an interest.

What do these transfer requests do anyways, it's not like Leicster have to act on the request, it's pretty much meaningless.
Spot on <ok>

.... we are on course for a European campaign next season (currently) ... particularly given that the Carabou Cup final is being contested by two potential CL teams <ok>
I know but your better players aren't going to be happy entering the Europa through the backdoor, especially when they can go to teams that are established in Europe.

It doesn't happen overnight and 1 piece of silverware is not enough to achieve it. I know you like to mock Spurs, fair play but we have been trying for over a decade and tbf we are right up there with the best in the league, obviously the weakest of the bunch but we have earned the right to mix it with the big boys consistently. Obviously there are a lot of fans that can't see beyond a trophy so won't get what I mean but football people know the progress made by Spurs. That's why we are a bigger club than yours even if you have a title in the bag. Your owners didn't build on your success, that's your downfall and fans like Fosse are only too happy to lap up the recent success, so much, that the eye is off the ball. When that happens you have more chance of emulating Blackburn instead of trying to dine with the big boys.

Everyone and their dog were vying for your club a few seasons ago so you can't say you were not the darlings but your owners quit whilst they were ahead.
Can’t argue with that, and had we recruited initially how we have since (Maguire, Dragovic, Ndidi, Iborra, Silva, iheanacho) then we’d have had a better season last year. It wouldn’t have stopped players wanting to leave sadly. You also have the benefit of being in London. A team from Leicester just isn’t ever going to make it to the big time imo.
It’s just sad that teams like Man City can chuck that amount of money at a player to cover a 4 week injury to another player and the smaller club is bullied by them, the player and his agent and even the media. Jim white couldn’t wipe the smile off his face about it earlier

You had made it, but your owners showed a lack of ambition to maintain Leicester as a force in the Premier league. You were blessed with an opportunity that any supporter of a club in England outside of the top 6 would shoot their kid for, and you blew it.

Leicester fans bleating, yet they were laughing when they had Chelsea's pants down and royally raped them for 35m for Danny ****ing Drinkwater.

Arrogant as **** from City, I hope they don't get Mahrez for that reason alone. If he joins them, he will go the way of a lot of talent that joins City and Chelsea.

Don’t know if it was a lack of ambition as much as shambolic recruitment. They obviously thought it was right at the time

You’re right there, Iborra and Silva for less than we ripped them off for Drinkwater. The piss take being they bullied us so late we missed our replacement until this month

Exactly, I’m surprised at the attitudes of some on here who aren’t big club supporters. Stuff like this is bad for football in general. It’s not just about Leicester and Mahrez, it’s bigger than that. Mahrez going is inevitable at some point, it’s knowing that next window they’ll do it with Maguire and Ndidi and maybe this Diabate lad down the line. It’s far too easy to throw money at developed talent not develop it yourself

I was hoping City giving up on Sanchez was a sign they where tightening their purse strings, with the whole FFP thing.

Now they are looking like they are gonna spend another 120m+ <laugh>

...and yet Mahrez is still the only one wanting a move ... perhaps that's because we are beginning to be viewed as a genuinely progressive club with ambitions to be regular European challengers ... some fans of other clubs may find that difficult to stomach but we have a terrific young squad ...<ok>

What's everyone think Mahrez's true value is in today's market?

And what should Leicester be asking for?

I reckon he's worth about 70m, but Leicester should be asking for about 80m.

How long are you going to churn that out for? Give it up Fosse.

Take this anyway you want, but nobody cares about Leicester so I doubt anybody finds it difficult to stomach, imho.

THC is nasty mate. It's good for terminal illnesses but I think that would be the only way I ever take that again.

CBD has helped my mate with tourettes. He was on 12 tablets a day for most of his life and now he's using CBD he doesn't need them anymore. My auntie is 62 and bad with arthritis, I give her the cream so just runs it on her wrists when they're sore and it's got her able to start cooking and walking the dog, which she never thought she'd do again. I could tell you loads of stories through my experiences of it. Incredible stuff.

As soon as I get this shop away, pop up one night before I'm closing up and I'll show you everything, then we could go on the lash around Durham/Sunderland. I'm easy.
