Serious Question out of that squad today if we are to sign a player or two who deserves to miss out on the squad completely. Its all good saying we need players but them players have to take others places. So Yes Ok we can get a injury here and there but in hindsight someone has to leave the match squad on a regular basis. bearing in mind it currently already missing Struijk and Bamford. Who#'s not good enough to be in that Championship Match squad of 20? Discuss.

As said previous by LoL, depending on the Aaronson injury I’d take a 10 on loan, I’d also take a LB at expense who’d be hopefully good enough for the PL
but personally asking do you go big for a 10 or a rotation with Aaronson? If so Aaronson drops to the bench who do you take out the squad. You get a L/B who do you take out the team Byram or Firpo? Not being personal on you just like t hear peoples views.
Basically what Im saying is who would you cut from the 20 squad bearing in mind Struijk probably will go back in the 11 and Rothwell taking Guilavogui's place on the bench.
You can’t rely on Byram and Firpo remaining fit, Firpo doesn’t look like signing a new contract so my preference would be new LB then Byram who could also cover RB
Number 10 I’d go Buendia if he is genuinely being made available.
I said at the start of the window, no big names to leave and it won’t matter what the rest do, we’ll still have the best 15
I agree changing a keeper now could be dangerous, I’d still like a new one though
You get a 10 and either Guilavogui, Wober or Schmidt drops out of the squad based on minutes used (which is practically nonexistent for Schmidt, who is a complete waste of a wage at this point). Would also probably still bring in a goalkeeper.
totally understand both your reasonings but isn't what we currently have not good enough for where we are right now? I'm not throwing out anti transfer vibes as I still honestly believe quite a few of our squad have to move on if we go up. Do you upset the apple cart ? Any player coming in has to be special rather than a squad player yeah? especially if he's a money signing as he has to be future proof for Prem Football which will be very hard to attract whilst in the Championship. Loan players from the Prem most come with some sort of baggage if dropping a league ie back from injuries being the most common and could take time to kick start. ie Soloman being a good example.
The only player we do not have like for like cover is Aaronson.
When Struijk is back we have a fully fit first team, which is good after the busy christmas period.
I would drop schmidt, as he never plays, guilivogui is always good to have on the bench.
This squad is obviously good enough, our league position demonstrates that.
Not sure I agree. Old red nose (as in the milky avatar) always said that you strengthen from a position of strength. Loans from premier league clubs has worked for other teams, we on the other hand have stuck rather than twisted to our cost. New players keep the existing ones playing for their places and if you go up some of the loans might want to stay permanently.
You always need to look to strengthen, if we were to sign any players permanently, which is doubtful this window, then we could easily replace 3 from that squad. Any signings though need to be in the 11, not for the squad.
Meslier - I'd not be sorry to see him sold.
Guilavogui- he's not the future, love his attitude but no room for sentiment.
Wober he's never been happy here, no one, including him, would shed a tear if he was to go.
Also you could add Firpo to that list, as he's already said he won't resign if we don't go up, then ta ta.
Gnonto if we got good money, honestly don't think he's all that.
Just wanted to hear some views on what people think. I wasn't saying loans don't work just throwing up the pro's and con's of the situation. Hand on heart though I'm happy with what we have and if we don't bring anyone in It wouldn't bother me at all this season. I'm Happy with how its going. If we go up next season though its a complete different ball game.

Similarly we need a LB or LWB and a biggish but mobile 9. I remain unconvinced about Mes but DF seems convinced about his abilities, so reckon there’s not gonna be anything happening Goalie wise.

All the itk's are saying they are getting nothing, the club are very tight on anything being leaked and have been for a while on everything not just transfers, that's if there is anything to leak.
