I'd happily forsake any more signings if we get a new keeper in.
Has to be a quality one though and our record of keepers over last decade hasn’t been much. Kiko, Bailey peacock and Meslier. What makes you think we’ll find better willing to play at our level
There has to be better out there, we missed a trick with 2 in the summer both having good seasons in the championship, Meslier has been steadily getting worse season by season, most could see that but the club decided to stick with him, Farke even stating he's the best in the division, even though the stats of saves to shots have him down as the third worst keeper in Europe. If we can't find one, which would be piss poor recruitment , then we need to be playing Darlow. All keepers make mistakes, at every level but ours doesn't even get the basics right. Most managers now must see him as the week link and must be rubbing their hands together when they get a corner against us.
Tomoko Hayakawa - a friend for Tanaka. Contract ends 31st January 2025 so would be a cheap purchase, and from a 3 minute Youtube clip it looks like he can do everything that everyone says Mes can't. I presume the other 3056 minutes that he played that season aren't as good though

Alex McCarthy, 35 I know but always been a very steady keeper, try for a loan until the end of the season, someone of that ilk, then reasses when we know where we are next season.

I think the plan is to sign cheap and sell big. We made triple what we paid for Kamara. I reckon we'll get a fair whack for Tanaka as well if he goes in the summer. We're clearly using the Red Bull scouting network for hidden gems
