Yeah but 5 months to identify a few midfielders better than Allen or defenders better than Cissokho or Johnson?? If they'd only come up with a list of 3 players worldwide who'd improve our full backs or midfield they need to be fired....literally <ok>

Realistically Frank if they paid us lot we could give them a list of 20 players better than Johnson (on current form), 50 better than Allen and 200 better than Cissokho (and even a few wingers if that's what Buck wants). These guys have had months to identify targets and a month to sound them out and sort deals out.

That's based on your rating of those players. Brod rates Johnson and Allen, possibly Cissokho too but surely not <laugh>

One bought, three to come into the team. If Mata had arrived ten weeks ago he might have made a small difference, now with our two main strikers coming back it could be a big difference!

Plus Fletcher. already said all that <doh>

My God, what an interesting night ;-)

Got to laugh at how some people turn in to right drama queens and start moaning that the world is ending, just because one transfer deal fall over.

Look on the bright side, we could be Arsenal, still with no strikers.

There speaks Madam Drama Queen herself <laugh> pull up a pew Nobollox, we miss you :D

Plaything of an arrogant **** who would rather lose his best player on a free rather than have his ego bruised by a bigger club buying him

So apparently Ayre and Rodgers interviews after the deal collapsed seemed pre-determined and a lot of rubbish? Didn't see it as we don't get the whole transfer day thing over here yet, we have drafts and **** like that. <laugh>

With the 33 pick in the January 2014 transfer window, Liverpool FC select........ Yehven Konoplyanka from Dnipiro who gives a ****. (crowd goes wild).

Regardless of where most of the blame lies, unfortunately we'll all have to agree - LFC's Top Dog shaking hands abroad for days on end and coming back with nothing does not paint a good picture of our club. It's embarassing, period.

As a rule of thumb, when negotiating with uncertain shady parties, better keep it on the DL.

Exactly D, your real plus is your big strikers coming back...Mata is nice but he'll not win you pointss at a rate RVP or Rooney will.

Exactly the same for us over last 3 months. For one reason or other we've had our big names out too.

And our squad was supposedly thinner and less skillful than yours.....yet at 4 for moment as, like you they all come back one by one.

Our big signing was a happy Suarez.

Deal with a negative at end of season if it happens.

We have draughts over here.....when FSG open their wallet <whistle>

Dave's quite chirpy, sees us where we actually are: 4th with half our players injured half the time one way or another.

Rest of us are just greedy lol.

Yes I am quite chirpy ( if that's the way you want to put it). We are in 4th with a 3 point cushion over those chasing us. We still have an outside chance of catching those above us as they all have to come to Anfield. so why should I be negative?

In the first half of the season we achieved despite Suarez's ban and a whole set of injuries. We now have players returning in the near future plus an understanding of formations that both work for us and those that don't (eg Villa).

So as far as I am concerned my pint is over three quarters full despite not signing anybody <ok>

If Mata had arrived ten weeks ago Rooney and RVP would have felt like playing for Utd again ten weeks ago.

That's exactly what I said! Tried to not ramble like I usually do. But:

Happy
4th
Despite injuries

Forgot the they've to come to us bit....

What's wrong with Chirpy? Chipper, Top of the world ??? ......happy?

Quite possibly. But then I'm not praising or slating Ayre or anyone else bar the transfer committee (for not going for a CM although there were rumours)

Surely Ayre and the transfer committee only go for players in areas Brendan targets to strengthen?

Dnipro are what they are, trying to survive in a dog eat dog corrupt society.

LFC on the other hand should know better and not risk its image by sending its big shot director rolling along with flea-ridden dogs.
