I know but that was included in my point lol. They might have 3 CM's they think worthy but can't get right now and don't rate those they can get....etc etc..
Let's face it we're all clutching at straws here. We have no real idea what happened and what the process would be…if whatever happened, happened!
James Pearce ‏@JamesPearceEcho 8m Medical & personal terms were done, #LFC had triggered buyout clause. Owner refused to sign paperwork.
If that's the case then I'd be happy that they kept their money for another day. Whether it leaves us short or not, we should only spend on the right players at the right price.
I'd seriously go through UEFA if possible if I was us...might not get player but put these nonces is their place billions or not.
All clubs have an agreement that they sort their problems/disagreements out in the court of sports arbitration, they won't be very happy if LFC decide to go through law courts instead.
Surely that's breach of contract and player can just tear it up and walk away? We can then get him on a free
That would be my view for transfers in general, obviously perfect rarely happens but, just for the sake of it is worse than none at all.
I suspected it would be a sports court but wasn't sure Still a lengthy process though and the player would be in isolation whilst proceedings took place.
Stop and think for a moment. There is no way on this sweet earth that Ian Ayre would travel to Ukraine unless there was some deal to negotiate. Ayre would have to have gained permission from the club to talk to the player.. There is no way that permission would have been granted until a fee had been been discussed and agreed with his club. If the social media is to be believed then the player even had a medical and there is no way they would have allowed that without the majority of the fine detail of a deal had been sorted. So Ayre had been dealing with the club but the offiicials at the club did not have the final say. That lay with their own Abramovich who refused to sign the contract. However, I doubt that the club would have gone as far as drawing up a contract if they had not had some indication from the owner that he would consider a deal. On this occasion I don't believe that it was LFC's fault and certainly not Ayre's. However, it is imperative that we overhaul our negotiating system in time for the Summer Window.
30 days? 30 days and we leave it to the last bit to reach out to the clubs on that list? Can't be that simple jack!!!
One of the worst transfer windows ever, not just for us but in general. One big name signing, Mata, and that's all thats worth reporting for this Jan window
Actually, good for them. We did the same with Suarez. Why should they sell if they don't want to? He's their star local player. Good on them. Hypocritical to call Dnipro bastards for that. Maybe if the owners refused to sell then Ayre should have left and not agreed personal terms for 3 days. I'm not sure what he expected, their owner to suddenly say, "well he's had a medical despite me not saying he could, so I suppose I better change my mind"?
