Would love it, but can't see Chelsea selling to us, especially if we're still close in the table. Think he'll prob end up back in Spain - Athletico Madrid would be my first thought.

Money talks. It would almost be like Arsenal with Suarez... perhaps if they'd initially offered shedloads we might have sold. Only difference is Suarez is Suarez and plays week in week out central to the team/club and the manager loves him, with Mata we'd have a bargaining tool in that he clearly isn't fancied by Maureen and gets about 57 seconds every couple of games. Would have to be a big bid from us but on the other side there's history between chavs and us, and Rafa. It's scandalous cause he's top top qualiteeeeee.

Only way Chelsea would let us have Mata is if we put something in the deal they really wanted and we aren't going to let them have Suarez!
16.45 GMT Arsenal appear to have joined Liverpool and Juventus in the race for Genoa defender Sime Vrsaljko. Arsene Wenger has received glowing scout reports about the 22-year-old who joined Genoa from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer and reports in Italy suggest that Wenger is plotting a bid for the Croatia international right-back, as Bacary Sagna continues to stall on contract negotiations.

Would have thought it'd be more around the £10m mark, if we get him that is. Would be nice if a signing was revealed after the game tomorrow (whatever the outcome, would obviously be even nicer if we won though!)
