    <doh>

Seriously though? I reckon he could be a decent addition to the squad if he's given the right opportunity <ok>

  3. Nah. He's done ****all at Spurs and he's behind the likes of Sigurdsson who many of us wouldn't want.

He hasn't been given much of a chance though has he?

  5. Nor has Allen <whistle>

Seriously though, if he was ripping up trees in training then he'd be getting first team opportunities. I think there will be better options out there. However, I didn't want Sturridge, Toure or, to a lesser extent, Coutinho either so what do I know <laugh>

That's what happens when you're injured.

Tbf Allen played really well until his injury.

  7. He played really well for about four games. I question him playing with an injury for about four to five months!

What position are you referring to? Brenden says he is best further up the pitch.

Wasn't he used as a DM to cover Lucas when he was injured?

  11. Yeah, a midfielder playing in erm, midfield is a real pain in the arse <laugh>

I believe BR brought Allen in to help the team adjust to his preferred 433 and false number nine system. However, because it didn't work and Gerrard refused to play ball (he said as much himself in an interview), Allen had to change to suit us instead. Maybe that's why he played well at first but then dropped off?

Do you seriously believe JA will play better in a more advance role? I don't, I hope I am wrong but I think he lacks the creativity required for a AM spot, especially when we have Ford back.

I also think that Allen has suffered from BR not having any time to assess the squad when he took over. BR then bought players he was familiar with assuming that because they were good for him elsewhere they would be an improvement here. Clearly his judgement of our squad in that first window was not correct as none of the four that arrived have done well with only Allen remaining.

I don't expect him to be the AM we will eventually play week in week out as like you say, we have ford for that. I just don't think he's bad back up and that sometimes he gets unfair criticism. Would like to see what he can do in the AM role when ford isn't able to play.

I still have hopes for Allen. He needs to be given a chance to play in a midfield where he isn't the designated DM and he's not playing with an injury. If he plays with Coutinho Gerrard and Lucas with sas ahead and he's still **** then get rid.

    I agree mate.

  15. Agreed. He is probably the best back-up we have for Gerrard when it comes to playing the ball.

anyone know if there's an agreement in regards to buying Moses? I personally think we can do better but would be good to have in the squad if we can pay a reasonable fee, say 8-12m.

There's no fee agreed at the end of the loan.

Cissokho has a £4m fee at the end of the season.
