What do people think about Montoya? Crap F1 driver that coincided with Williams slide to obscurity...

... but as a full back do you think he would fit? (Alonso is great at football and driving).

One of our most pressing needs and he seems to be the one the media bring up the most.

Really struggling here <doh> come across this

A photo has appeared online suggesting that Liverpool target Mohamed Salah has rented a property in the city.

The Basel star has been widely linked with a move to the Reds during the current transfer window.

Now, a screenshot appearing to show a Direct Debit set up in Salah’s name has been posted on Reddit.

The information suggests that the Egypt international has rented a £850-a-month apartment on Princes Parade (incorrectly shown as Princess Parade on the screenshot) for the next seven months.

If it is true, the member of staff at estate agents Venmores who leaked the details is likely to be seeking new employers of their own very soon.

£850 a month <laugh>

Tight ****er.

Liverpool are in negotiations with Red Bull Salzburg over the transfer of midfielder Valon Berisha, according to Norwegian newspaper Aftenbladet.

The Reds have reportedly tracked him for a while and have now opened talks with the Austrian side over a possible deal.

Berisha was watched by Anfield representatives during Red Bull Salzburg's 3-0 friendly win against European champions Bayern Munich last weekend, while the Reds also scouted him during their 4-0 league win over Austria Wien last month.

Liverpool's hopes of landing him will be boosted by the involvement of former boss Gerard Houllier, who is currently working as global sports director for Red Bull Salzburg.

Berisha, 20, has earned nine caps for Norway at senior international level and is valued at around £2.5m.

Not seen him play

Thought that rumour had cooled a lot though

More on de Jong

Liverpool are ready to move for AC Milan battler Nigel de Jong as Brendan Rodgers seeks to replace injured Brazilian Lucas Leiva according to Sports Direct News.

Read more Liverpool transfer news.

The experienced Dutch hard-man is apparently unsettled at AC Milan, who have struggled for form this season and are unlikely to secure a Champions League berth this term, and could be interested in a Premier League return.

Rodgers would look to bring in the 29 year old on a loan deal though one wonders if new boss Clarence Seedorf would listen to offers for the former Man City man.

De Jong has been a virtual ever present this season and offers the San Siro side some steel in the middle of the park and an exit in January wouldn’t seem to make much sense for the Italian giants, unless a replacement was in the bag.

Rodgers does not have any other out and out defensive midfielders to call upon and the absence of Leiva for a prolonged period of time could present the Merseyside club with something of a problem.

De Jong moved to AC Milan in a £3.5m move back in August 2012 after four seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

I'd take him

Looks like this one has cooled off a lot too...

15.55 GMT: More news from Italy now, and Football Italia reports that Javier Pastore has refused to rule out a move to Roma despite being happy at PSG. "I am happy here and, as I've said, I don't want to leave," he told Fox Sports. "Roma? There are teams that have spoken with the club and with my agent. Roma are doing very well and have a strong squad. If they were to call me then I’d have to see what happens. But at the moment I am happy in Paris."

what the???

16.07 GMT: There could be some intriguing news coming out of Brazil for Manchester United fans, as Fox News Brasil journalist Gustavo Villani has just put a message out on Twitter suggesting that Bayern Munich centre-back Dante will sign for the Red Devils. We'll have more on that if it develops, but the Chelsea game made clear that David Moyes will need to strengthen his defence significantly if they are to compete for top honours in the near future.
